a little fun neurolinguistics fact! in that most recent interview with harry, he changes his accent so much because he's thinking about certain periods of his life. so when he talks about his family, his home, his parents, it's natural that his accent goes back to its "original form". but when talking about recent tours when he has been spending so much time in America, there is an amerian influence. when talking about one direction (the sweden part I think it's about 1d), he has an Irish influence probably because he's thinking of niall back then.... so yeah :)

I’ve never noticed the Irish influence but the way he said ‘craaazy’ and how he pronounced the r in ‘we’re’ was very Irish and the way he said ‘how’ was very Irish too

I'm french, and as a One Direction fan i've always considered Harry's accent the lightest (compared to Louis or Niall for example), but your video made me realize i understand him so well just because he's a slow speaker (which for a french person is sooo important), but still he has (or had) a regional accent. So, thank you for explaining how the language works phonetically :) (and sorry if my message isn't grammatically correct...as i said, i'm french)

This is actually rather interesting and pretty cool to see someone who's accent evolution is so similar to mine. I also grew up in Cheshire and moved to America in 2007, when I was 20, so my accent has changed quite a bit. I think I've retained most of my British terminology and pronunciation, but the "melody" of my sentences probably sound a bit more American, if that makes sense. I did have to start enunciating a lot more, especially with my T's, so that Americans could understand me better, but sometimes I still go back to the glottal T. My friends in the UK say I sound American while Americans will often pick up an accent.
