Eaves Support Tray Installation

LBS supply a PVC-U Eaves Support Tray which comes in 1.5m lengths.
The purpose of the Eaves Support Tray is to prevent the membrane sagging between rafters and the ponding of the membrane behind the fascia board at eaves level. It will also stop the membrane projecting out into the gutter where it could deteriorate with exposure to the elements.
When fitting the LBS PVC-U Eaves Support Tray, fix it into place with nails directly above the over fascia ventilator which is fitted on to the fascia board.
The short edge of the Eaves Support Tray should project downwards towards the gutter and the longer edge should project upwards along the slope of the rafter.
If the unit must be cut for fitting, this can be done using hand snips.
When joining eaves support units together you must overlap each unit by 150mm before nailing them into place.

I need something like this. Whoever did my roof ran the felt into the gutter and it’s all rotted away. So any water that gets under the tiles is at risk of ending up in the eaves. In fact, in one place it was running down the wall from the back of the eaves and ponding on the patio below. This was saturating the wall and damp was jumping the cavity across salt blooms that had formed inside it. In the end I managed to stop the water getting between the tiles, but this is what can happen if you get a lot of water in the eaves.
