How broken is the Caulipower in PVZ2?

Caulipower is pretty bad in Pirate Seas because it can’t hypnotize the imp cannons, and the barrels also cause a swarm of weak zombies to be overwhelming rather than a few high health zombies that get one-shot

Yeah pirate seas is a really bad pick to test this plant. They should test it in other worlds instead because this is a pretty unfair comparison to other premiums. This isnt even mentioning the fact that your zombies cant cross the water to reach the imp cannons that caulipower cant hyponitize! (Tbh they shouldve just made caulipower work on imp cannons, and give them the unique effect of continuing to shoot out hypnotized imps, otherwise acting the same instead of just excluding it from hypnotization)

As somebody who uses this plant a lot, you can absolutely essentially solo with it, but you want to use your plant food to instantly recharge the cooldown. I usually stall the first zombies with potato mine to plant a row of sunflower and twin sunflower, and get a couple of walnuts. If you use plant food to get more Caulipowers on the field you'll start to invalidate the interval of their attack speed and RNG targeting because the mass of hypnotized zombies will stall the incoming waves until their next attack. The projectiles will automatically retarget at an instant if their target dies or is hypnotized, so shots are never wasted unless there are no zombies on the board at all. Hypnotized zombies have also been buffed from PVZ 1, as they always start attacking before unhypnotized zombies and will always beat a zombie of equal health (unless they engage before furthest rightmost tile, as zombies get a massive speed and dps increase when entering the lawn. As long as you understand which zombies are immune (generally any zombie that doesn't move or eat like imp cannons and king zombies) you will almost never be disappointed with it. Caulipower is an insanely goo plant for Wild West especially paired with Lightning Reed. You can hypnotize every single type of Zombie there, including the Piano Zombie which reverts its insane crushing damage against anything it encounters at a longer range than a normal zombie bite! Your friendly hypnotized zombies with also get the lane-switch effect to cover more ground. Also, if you hypnotized a chicken wrangler before it bursts, all their chickens will be hypnotized as well! Don't count on that though, always bring reed as well if you see wranglers or weasels. Far Future is also a super good world for it, as there is a plentora of high health machine zombies to hypnotize. Just be sure to bring Blover to remove all the weaker jetpack zombies you don't want to waste a hypno on. While I don't mind there being another "hypno" plant besides Hypno-Shroom, I feel like Caulipower's random targeting kinda ruins him. Even though the almanac says he targets "stronger zombies," that just means he has a higher chance of attacking them, his targeting is still complete RNG....... Also, his Plant Food is garbage.

Caulipower is very good (not in Pirate Seas, though), and so is electric peashooter, but don't spend your money. There are plenty of ways to get them for free. You just need to find a save editor to do it for you.

You see If you know how to play this game well You can win with about everything As for attacking premium plants (the ones that cost 5 dolars) other that caulipower you have e-pea snow pea grapeshot apple mortar cold snap wasabi whip blueberry toadstool cactus chomper escape root witch hazel jack-o-lantern holly barrier missle toe parsnip and strawburst with kiwibeast recently being removed from the cast and sea shroom was to the plants section in the store added even tho he costs less than $5 and can still be unlocked trough grinding gatcha Now lets look at those plants we have 7 attackers e-pea apple mortar wasabi whip cactus jack-o-lantern parsnip and strawburst 3 main and 4 secondary 2 instas grapeshot and escape root 4 support plants snow pea cold snap missle toe and holly barrier and 4 secondary attackers with similar abilities to caulipower blueberry toadstool chomper and witch hazel out of the for plants that should be taken a count here we have blueberry is just cheaper and worse coulipower witch hazel has less range and turns zombies into mushrooms toadstool has even less range a bit smaller cost and produces sun and chomper is mele so it kinda doesn't count Out of the long range oneshoot plants coulipower is the best and for the other plants they are other plants that serve other purposes so if you're not looking for that then sure there are better options to spend that $5 on like food

Caulipower is a mid, at best, plant. It only has case by case uses and is primarily good if there's a lot of high powered or annoying zombies like gargantuars or the octopus dudes
