Most of the achievements were designed to be obtained over a long period of time, thus the difficulty to complete them. Glad you enjoyed this little gem though. Fun fact: If you played the original Garden Warfare, when this sequel came out, you could link your EA accounts to both games, and carry over all the plant characters, minus promotional, that you unlocked in the first. You even got a special variant of Chomper if you reached the highest rank in the original before you linked your account... which that variant now has a paid counterpart, being the Twilight Chomper... in any case, the event ran for about a year before it finished. Side note, I am incredibly impressed you managed to beat some of the solo ops missions without any support. It's pain.

I played this game at its peak, it was an amazing time. even at its peak these achievements were brutal though, and absolutely do not try to max rank every single character. there's like 118 characters in the game, each having essentially 50 levels. this results in a max possible rank of 5455- I honestly dont know why its not evenly divisible by 50 or 49, but since max ranking 1 character takes between 160k through 170k exp (slight exp variance?), you would need to earn over 20 million exp. that grind is only for the true dedicated players that are willing to spend over 600 hours on this one game. but even ignoring max ranking characters, it still takes a good several hours to get every character from a fresh file! lets start with the impossible. Unicorn Chomper was only available for like a year after the game's release for people who max-ranked in the first game, although IIRC both Unicorn and Twilight Chomper have a chance to be accessible in the monthly portal event in super mix modes. Considering its once a month, do not attempt these. I have both of them Master Ranked without even owning those characters, which looks a little funny to permanently see slots for characters I will never own in the stats area of the hub, as their little toy bobberhead isn't even there. then you have to *essentially* do the "beat 25 waves in infinity mode" achievement a total of 12 times, 6 times as plants and as zombies, to unlock the 6 Party Characters who can only be accessed by getting enough time shards that has about the same value as doing infinity mode waves 1-24. there are occasional event lootboxes to buy contents from that game mode, as seen at 51:36 for even a *chance* at getting one of them. pick your poison. after all of that, its down to plain lootbox gambling. there's a 75,000 lootbox guaranteed to open 1 non-legendary character you don't own. I'd give this pack the best bet at getting all your characters, as the next cheapest lootbox for 35,000 may give you 1 to 3 character stickers when you dont have many, but I think the odds go down as you unlock more characters. but as you see at 51:36, there's 5 character stickers for Rare and Super Rare characters and you can only play as them when you get all 5 of them- the guaranteed pack is the most cost efficient for unlocking characters at all stages. exclude the base versions, legendaries, and special/purchased characters, you can open this pack a total of 90 times, costing $6,750,000 give or take 1 or 2 if I miscounted. But despite this, it might not even be recommended to get all of them through this pack because of the scam that is the legendary characters. but then there's legendary characters! the drop chances for them are exceedingly low, but the exact odds don't seem to be known by anybody online (thank you gambling laws for making future games say their rates). you can easily spend several million coins without collecting a single legendary character's stickers on the 35,000 cost lootbox- the grind to even get one could take even longer than the grind to get the 90 other characters! there's 6 legendary characters from lootboxes, and each of them have 2 stickers required to unlock them! yes, the first sticker of each legendary is completely useless without the other, while having well under 1% odds. oh, but there's also legendary cosmetics which you might roll instead of the characters, letting your hopes down, but the one saving grace is never getting the chance to roll repeats again. that's a daunting amount of grind just to even get everything- now play them all for 5-10 hours each to max rank all 118 of them. no thanks. Finally let's talk about Rux. he's the Gnome in both team's bases that sells 5 items of various rarity that restocks once every 2 weeks. he has exclusive items, but thankfully none of them are characters. unfortunately for hoarders, he has 19 exclusive abilities, of which 7 of them are carbon copies of original abilities but with gaudy, eye-catching gems and alternate colors that make you more visible to your foes (the Looty Booty Pirate Barrel bling ability actually makes you less defensive than the regular ability, do not use it ever). His exclusive abilities and exclusive legendary cosmetics all cost 500,000 each. Considering it took about 1.5 years just for Rux to actually release all 19 exclusive abilities, then if you want to get them all, set that time as the estimate it might take for you to get them all. There's also a chance for him to directly sell one of the legendary characters for 1,000,000 so you might just need to take that offer if you need it. But don't get me wrong, I loved this game. There truly isn't any other game that replicates its experience. I myself even got to the 3,000s ranks. There's still occasionally more active players on this game than in the failed reboot Battle for Neighborville. Hell, they even brought Garden Warfare 2 to steam several years after they put Battle for Neighborville on it. But we all know the story of EA. Both EA and PopCap wanted to keep releasing new games. Make more people buy into their series. Make the same people buy a new game for the same- or worse- product. If it isn't making a profit, then they jump ship. The victim in this scenario isn't PopCap- its the developers that really wanted to keep working on the games but were forced to stop. I'm really really glad we got Garden Warfare 2, but honestly what parts of this game *couldn't* have just been put into Garden Warfare 1? and for Battle for Neighborville: they genuinely thought they could attract a new audience by removing the iconic character variants, easily the most influential and enjoyable part of the Garden Warfare series that made it so easy to come back to. There's so much lost potential, which sucks because the worst of the 3 games easily had some of the best features. Garden Warfare 1 and Battle for Neighborville both only released for 1 year before development ceased on both of them. for Garden Warfare 2, it was about 2 years. These could've been so much more.

The reason why the max rank is 5455 instead of something like 5450 or 5400 is because each time you rank up, #100 or #00 is skipped, for example if your rank is 1299 and you level up once, it goes straight to 1301, skipping 1300.

Pro tip: [16:42] next time when you do the chomper pizza minigames, in some levels (those with a smaller amount of time), the wooden, blue gnomes appear and if you take them down your time will freeze, making the missions a lot easier, so, as you said earlier focus more on dialogs, because they are meant to help you. @SeanieDew

Tip for the obligatory PVZ Battle for Neighborville 100% run. You can farm currency effectively in two ways, in the first singleplayer region, town center, replay the bounty hunt for the Tiger Klaus with either 80s Action Hero or Imp Mech, those are the fastest two, coins aren't of interest, but the tacos are, you can trade those in, this will also allow you to get easy xp (prize bulbs) with either hero. For the second story area, repeatedly do the bounty hunt for the sunflower sisters, you can kill them repeatedly with super brainz to collect the marshmallows, and finish them off before the timelimit ends by using his abilities. Plants are awful to farm anything with, so good luck

If you want to farm plants, go into a custom match, set all plants to sunflowers, set all zombies to Deadbeard or some other weak character, then choose a turf map with a payload where plants start on defense, like Loggy Acres. Choose a hero, then sit on the payload and kill zombies. You can do the same thing with zombies, but on maps like Tourist Trap Island, with Scientists and Cactus. Also, set the difficulty to CRAAAAAAAZZZY so you can get the most coins and exp.

I’m glad someone mentioned it. I have 650 hours in tf2 and some of the achievements are just really cruel. You have to: Win hundreds of games on specific maps, one of which is only publicly available ONE MONTH out of the year, or you can go on a private server and waste your time by beating it by yourself over and over and over You have to play arena mode, which currently only exists in competitive mode which is so dead it takes hours to find a match Get 100 THOUSAND youtube views on a replay (a system that is now completely unsupported and only works on certain servers) and is impossible to get ever since yt updated their api Get 1 million robot kills, I don’t even remember how long this takes but it takes hundreds of hours, and you either need to spend hundreds of dollars or play on boot camp servers that might have terrible players on them And SO MANY MORE. WHY VALVE, WHY??? A lot of them can be cheesed/cheated by either messing with the in game console or going into the games files, or you can completely cheat them through an achievement unlock server. It’s insane how hard/time consuming/literally impossible they are through intended means though.

Plants Vs Zombies Garden Warfare 2, was one of my favorite games on the PS4, this game was not made for Steam. It was extremely excited for a Garden Warfare 3, but the official next game was Battle for Neighborville. It looked great at first but they completely removed the class variants and watered each class down to its most basic form. It was basically just Overwatch or Team Fortress but with PVZ. I love this game, It came out on my birthday, I have played it ever since. I remember when i first played its predecessor (garden warfare 1) At a friends house. He could only play cause he used Xbox gold and live trial, we kept trying to get on zombies to play a zombie called general supremo, The nostalgia man.. Fun fact! The goat related achievements actually count players playing as the hyper goat. So if you eat an enemy playing as one, you'll get goatmeal, or if you kill an enemy plant with hyper goats abilities, you'll get Goat Any Last Words? I think it's fun they actually took that into account when adding in the new characters, considering the way you got those two was the only way to do so when the game first released.

I remember playing this a lot with my brother, the worst ones were the Ops on crazy difficulty and the goddamn gnome dimension, and the terrible emp peach on imp mechs. Also no, the best way to level up characters is multiplayer, usually the once a month event thing. Usually I could get about one character from new to level 50 per day Glad to say I got all of them.
