I'm giving it a try as my main computer os. I have my s8 ultra connected to my 27inch monitor in dex mode to see if I can do EVERYTHING with it. One issue I've had is running zoom with it, camera always rotates to portrait instead of landscape.

Have you looked into Zoom, Settings, Devices to see if camera orientation can be changed?

Is there a possibility to extend dex to 2 external monitors, meaning 2 monitors that do not show the same but rather can be used separately? So that i can have eg excel on one screen (monitor) and internet on the other screen (monitor)

This is a tablet you can have 2 monitors your tablet monitor and a monitor. If you need extended monitors you may need a computer. Thanks for watching I really appreciate it

I've found out that a very good compromise to not having a laptop is using parsec or steam in-home streaming to remote into my desktop and control it with my Tab S7

Thanks for the video, very informative. Question though. Why would anyone use two monitors with the same information on them? Seems pointless and taxing on such a device like a tablet. Also, any reason you didn’t demonstrate anything using the touch pad? I would think for more productivity work especially in Dex mode one would use the touch pad.

iPadOS Stage Manager only extends the screen. DeX can run two different UI at one time.

Samsung needs to kick Microsoft to the curb and bring back Linux on Dex and really turn our phones into portable PC's capable of being daily drivers as our everything devices. For now I thankfully have Termux with an ubuntu proot-distro installed.

Motorola’s Rewdy For already has a non-universal experience across their devices both wired and wireless - some devices needing a windows client to be installed and runnign even for a wired experience to work (Ready For Assistant: wired is required for Razr 40 Ultra)! Furthermore you cannot run Linux on Motorola’s - it’s STREAMING Linux form a PC source not directly on it which Dex USED to have in the first 4yrs it debuted. Let’s get the facts straight to ensure people are not looking to Motorola Ready For which is an inferior experience across all feature sets! ;)
