I know every repair is different , but how much that repair cost.? Thanks

Hi, I’ve just bought an ecotech radion xr15 gen 3 pro. I have been trying to increase my electrical knowledge and skills so I’ve bought this light and some ai hydras too to practice smd soldering and cleaning water damaged electronics and hopefully I’ll be able to get a couple fixed🤞. So I recieved the xr15 today and it had 5 leds burnt out on the puck. So I’ve removed them but all the light does is when I connect it to a power supply the buttons light red for less than a second and then switch off and then nothing happens until the light is unplugged and reconnected to power. So I just wondered if you have any ideas what I should be inspecting. The board seems to use 20ma when power is connected after the button lights turn off. Their was also a resistor labelled r113 by the power connector on the mainboard that was very slightly discoloured on one end from minor corrosion. While inspecting the resistor I knocked it off though so I now need a replacement resistor for that. Do you know the value of that resistor? The fan does not spin when connecting power to the light but the fan does work. Also do you know where I would be able to get some replacement leds for both this light and a hydra 26hd? Im located in the uk. Thanks

You will have to replace those LEDs first before the light would work again. Once removed, the main board senses there is a problem with the LED channels as they are no longer conducting and consuming any power and it shuts down the light. It's fairly easy to determine replacement LEDs for G3 as the high level specs are widely available. Just need to find matching part numbers. Not sure where you'd buy in the UK, but here in the US we have digikey, mouser, newark, etc. which sell high quality parts. Although, it's getting increasingly hard and expensive to find matching LEDs for G3. I'd have to check if I can find the value of that resistor. Normally, no schematics except for my own creation exists and the only way to find the value is from a donor board.

Do you mind explaining a bit what / where you for the firmware to program the controllers? Side note have you ever used telnet into head unit and used abus command for swapping mods etc? I have limited use in the past of this but anyone interested in discussing that would be cool. Great Video as always!!

I use telnet with Apex extensively. There's an extensive guide, including undocumented stuff here: stonyx.github.io/AquaBusLib/ApexDebug.html Firmware is a sticky subject unfortunately. All I can say is that it is available if you know where to look.
