I have one. Although cheaply made and poorly packàged, it functions adequately. I use a small coffee can as a catalytic converter to eliminate fumes when used as a heater. Once filled, it should remain stationary since the tank isn't sealed. I use diesel only. I paid $20 on line.

How do you use a coffee can with it as a heater? I bought one thinking I could use it as an emergency heat source but it's too stinky for that

Back when I was a teenager "playing with fire" my buddy and I lit an oil lamp in his basement with fondue fuel. We put it out and brought it outside and lit it again and it blew fuel everywhere lighting the wall of the house on fire. We got it put out with no damage but yeah, I think fondue fuel is a bad choice over kero/diesel

Thanks, I've never heard of that type of issue before.

Kerosene, diesel, and lamp oil are all essentially the same fuel. The difference is in the purity and additives. Diesel has additives to protect the moving parts of engines. That tends to make diesel have a stronger odor. The sulfur content gives it odor too. In recent times, the diesel sold for “over the road” use (in trucks) is low sulfur so that it shouldn’t have as much odor. Kerosene comes in several different qualities. K-1 kerosene is the clear, pure, odorless kerosene designed to be burned indoors in heaters and lamps. Lamp Oil is kerosene with a sexy name. If you buy lamp oil, you’re simply paying 2 to 3 times as much for your K-1 kerosene as you need to be.

Yup thanks for the reminder, while I served overseas Afg. In 02 all we had was JP8. I started asking about why our LSVWs were messing up so much. It came down to the additives used. Our civie/ milspec motor needed more waxiness to protect the injectors as they need the added lubricants of the sulfur.

That's not quite true. K1 kerosene has a far lower sulfur content than basic kersone and lamp oil

Hello sir, can we use petrol in this stove instead of kerosene. Actually we are stuck in a situation and there's no availability of kerosine for months. Please respond 🙏

Diesel is a better fuel than gasoline for this

Never use petrol.it is danger

You crank it down into the smaller tubes and it snuffs out. You can actually put cigarettes out in diesel, which will burn in these

Can you use oil in it, ta

I wouldn't recommend it, but I hasn't tried it either
