When you make a new eBay account, it's a good idea to wait for about 3 weeks before you start selling anything. During this time, you can use the account to buy a few inexpensive items (under £2) so that sellers can give you feedback. Afterward, don't list more than 3 items per week when you start selling. Remember, this isn't a race; it's more like a marathon. eBay wants to make sure you handle orders as promised, deliver items on time, and provide a positive experience for customers. Once you have received around 5 positive feedback comments from buyers, you can begin listing more items and ask eBay to let you list even more. They usually grant this request. In the beginning, there are some things you should avoid to prevent getting banned. For instance, listing too many new items might lead to trouble. eBay might ask for invoices or suspend your account. Also, be careful about selling items that could be replicas or brands that don't allow you to sell their products. Using words like "iPhone 7" is fine, but claiming something is an "original cable" might not be a good idea. Sometimes, even if you follow all these guidelines, your account might still get banned. In this case, reaching out to eBay through their "contact us" option and explaining that you're new and learning the ropes might help. Let them know that the items you listed are either in your possession or used items. It's important not to create a new account without contacting eBay first.
