Why not accept offers on those old listing after doing the Sell Similar. I understand not wanting to do it on New listing but it would definitely help you sell that old stuff.

As a reminder when you end and sell similar that counts as a “new” listing, so depending if you have a store subscription or what level you could be charged insertion fees. Just something to be aware of.

Even if a listing renews automatically it counts as a listing. Best to end and sell similar before the listing auto relists for the month

Yes! I do the same thing with my older listings, I’ll lower the price as well, double check the specifics/ update them. For some reason most have disappeared anyway. Oh and I add the sku at the end of the description because I’ve found over time with older listings my skus get changed to weird numbers so this has been super helpful as a back-up.

I started putting the date I list my items in the SKU. Around 1/3 of the items in my store now have the date I listed them. I tend to end and sell similar mostly my highest price listings.

Kind of similar to what I do. I end items before they cycle through into the 3rd month as ebay deem them as stale and reduce the 'air time' they get. That means every day I am ending items. What holds me back is my store size in UK I am the mid store limited to 1500 items a month so can not do 25 a day on top of what I list. I usually do 10-15 a day end and sell similar.

I stopped reselling a few years ago and have two storage units of inventory. I'm ready to dump them but can't decide if I want to reach out to folks like you and offer a bulk rate or if I want to get back into listing. I'm leaning towards the bulk way but no one I've reached out to so far has responded, except for one seller who was very interested but doesn't sell vintage collectibles. (Anime, toys, speciality items like coissone and Wedgewood dishes) anyway, I am enjoying watching your methods and picking up tips. I'll start a few listings and see what happens.

Hello thank you for answering my question but have you seen any of the sell similar items sell ,the way you do it is slightly different to mine ,someone told me to leave the ended listing down for at least two hours ,so at the end of the night i cancel the one i need for the next day. Apart from what you are doing i really hope things improve quickly and you get your top rated seller back. I am packing up on ebay at the end of this month i have to move onto something else but will defo miss ebay

I hear many talk about “end and sell similar” and I’ve always believed any sales from doing that (without substantive changes) is pure coincidence. Until now, just been my opinion but…I think I can prove it! Consider: “if end/sell similar works, then stop listing, and all day long just end and sell similar, over and over and over…eventually you should sell through your entire store!” I think we all know this would not happen… what do you think of this?

I actually find it faster to “end and sell similar” on the eBay app. Give it a try.

I’ve been using a default max rate on promoted listing of 10%. Sales have been good but not incredible. Thinking of lowering to 5%. My items are so dissimilar to each other that it’s almost impossible to determine if overall sales are affected by any rate change. Thoughts?
