eBay Headers Install on my E46 Drift Wagon (Before & After Audio)

I removed the cats and installed some eBay headers on my e46! I thought I would have a bunch of fitment issues and that I'd have to modify a bunch but I got extremely lucky and the install was 100% bolt in with no modifications!!

Big tip: ALWAYS USE OEM EXHAUST MANIFOLD GASKETS Will save you time from leaks caused with shitty gaskets in the future

Yep the chinese ones are junk. Goes for all exhaust gasket never use those perforated ones, try to find multi layer metal ones.

Im not defending the ebay gaskets but ive had them for 6 months and been fine! I smoke tested the exhaust and no leaks! So far…

+can cause an valve cover leak. Can cook up the valve cover n it can bend somehow cause of the heat, causing a leak from ur valve cover.

I would personally paint the tips matte black. Something about twin black exhaust tips that poke out a couple inches just looks so mean. ALSO, get two Vibrant Ultra Quiet resonators, one for each pipe. They will absolutely transform the exhaust note and eliminate most of the unpleasant rasp while keeping the volume. Side notes: - In my opinion, cabin audio is so much better when recording POV videos. - If you want crazy induction noise, look into making a cowl intake (AKA Randall style). Not only do you get crazy induction noise, but the engine gets properly cold air.

Vanos seals, long tube cold air intake ( down into fog light area) and a flash tune really transformed my 2.5. Would recommend.

I have 04 2.5l Headers,Exhaust,Intake upgraded vanos seals. Also would highly recommend but also 2.5l sounds better than 3.0 with headers.

Nice work on the header install. Did them on my 330ci. It’s not so much hard as it’s fiddly. I only had to trim one rear o2 bung about half inch but everything else fit just fine. With the chaos calibrations tune it really woke the car up. I’m still running the full factory exhaust. It’s noticeably louder than stock but not obnoxious. It’s a bit boomy inside the car at times. I think a different back box would help but would rather just buy a cat back. Hate exhaust work. Looking for some more sound but don’t think I want full straight pipe like yours. Keep the content comin.

You can only use 1 or 2 O2 sensors. You are able to tell the ECU that there is only 1 O2 sensor. Bunch of forums that tell you how ( MSxx wiki is one of those )

My exhaust manifold is stainless steel. Not sure if they're stock because they dont look like yours in the beginning. Ive had a shop do my swap so idk if they used custom parts as an alternative to expensive OEM parts
