Welcome to Project Yoshimitsu! Follow me along this adventure of turbo'ing this Beautiful Green BMW E46 330CI with me. On a quest to Double my horsepower figures we are going all the way with this turbo Project. This is Episode 1 of a many part series on this Turbo build DETAILED from start to finish boys. This will be the most thorough project on a Turbo E46 to date on KZbin.

Do yourself a favor and throw away those metal zipties now before they cause you trouble. They always back out and end up getting loose, just get stainless steel band clamps. Much easier to service too.

Bro I know! In my 6 S-peed TSX I had the Type R shifter and in the summer I had to keep it covered with a microfiber when i’d leave the car lol Also, Next episode is already out brother and Pt. 3 is dropping very very soon! 😉

Just about to go through the first 4 parts of your series. After you have decided that $100 turbos don't match up with all the money you will end up spending getting the turbo system built and tuned... The pulsars seem to be a good quality knockoff 6262 and GT35 which are the right size turbos for just around 500 on pump gas. Looking forward to this series. I assume you will go through the specs of the parts as you go. Unless someone is doing your tuning based on that MAF and those Injectors you can use are resistor on the stock MAF and tune with RomRaider or IF you are going stand-alone for tuning a MAP sensor is going to give you better tuning than the OEM ecu.

I know it's a bit late to tell you because you already have it but the Innovate SCG-1 is a pretty bad unit. It commonly fails after 1 year of use and the boost sensor and controller are really bad. I have one and my boost was all over the place. I was lucky to find a Turbosmart Eboost-2 for sale very cheap and it's so much better, very steady boost and more boost control settings. Apparently the SCG-1 has a very simple boost control and it only activates after your spring pressure making it very slow and jerky. Just a heads up tho! Looking forward to this series.

Also, don't use the rubber hose that comes with the AEM fuel pump, get a ribbed PTFE hose that looks like the OEM one, with good length so u can make a loop.

Brooo 😭😭😭 Did some research this morning after when you wrote. Had to do some digging but it’s there bro, lot of ppl across all different types of forums having odd issues with it. Already got it up for sale 🤣 Thank you for the heads up. Luckily its down the line on this project so it will give me some time to figure out my replacement 👍

@@pythondon Yeah after having problems I looked it up too and found out.. after spending all the money on it lmao. Still using it for AFR atm tho. You have plenty of time to find a better boost controller during the build, but an AFR gauge is a must. I'm really happy with my Eboost2 though, only issue with it is I haven't found a way to switch between boost groups yet :P. It's sad that the SCG-1 is bad because it's awesome having everything in one gauge..

Great video. Just some friendly advice. I would get a 0.82 rear turbine housing for that 3582. A 0.62 is gonna be way too small for that 3.0L. Was my initial purchase as well and found it needed to be much bigger lol.

Curious as well, i bet closer to 3,5- 3,7 maybe? .63 being closer to 3 from what i understand. I didnt think i’d run out of juice though on the .63 if im only gunning for 400wheel

@@pythondon its absolutely doable. just gotta tune out the torque for low end boost. i just prefer the 0.82. drives like normal. spools hard. full boost by 4kish. made over 500 on a b30 with the .82

They didnt make 320i in the states so its hard for me to comment on that but yes this is not your typical job. Since the bmw never came Turbocharged there is quite a bit of work involved. If you want to learn about wrenching and have something fun in the end albeit expensive, this is a perfect platform bro 🔥👍
