Love that slim folding hunter. I’m a huge fan of Western knives. Old butcher knife blade resembles the older Green River or Lamson and Goodnow. Great job on sheath!

@@RonaldNorwood-kn4bo Yeah, has that Green River look but has some of that faux forge mark that later Old Hickory Style knives had and a hollow rivet on the end where I threaded that lanyard. Either way I like it. 👍🏻 Thanks for watching.

That’s a solid sheath job for that old butcher. Well done. Great price on the Western.

Thanks for sharing. The Western 062 is one of My favorite F Hunters. I prefer it over the old Buck’s and big CASE, KABAR, and Schrade hunters. Love the compactness and killer Carbon Blades. The early Single and 2 Blade Puma hunters from 1960s-mid 70s are slimmer like the Western . Cool job on that old mountain man skinner knife 👍

@@CuttingEdgetools Thank you brother. I do like how slim the Western is, but I love em all.

I love western knives. I have the bowie knife that is in mint condition. I just wish I had the box for it.

@@michaeldavis8249 Very nice. They made good stuff. I have bought a few old knives in box..but I have the problem that I can’t let a good knife go unused. So I stopped buying the boxed ones. Ha

Your butcher knife looks like an old forgecraft or old hickory knife

@@adrianb9081 Similar, but this one has a hollow 3rd rivet in the handle and the faux forge marks don’t match up. So I’m still trying to figure it out, ha.
