I run my business out of my garage & I love it! I bought an insulated garage door & my whole garage is insulated. I leave the door open to the house since I have 3 kids & I need to keep an ear on them. We have large vehicles & don’t park in the garage anyway. We have a wood stove in the house which heats the garage & I use a portable ac unit in summer. It’s perfect for me!

I would suggest a dehumidifier for the summer in the garage. Your stuff will get moldy if you leave it in hot humid temperatures in an unlit garage. I have a dehumidifier in my garage. Makes a big difference.

We have a 2 bedroom (the other bedroom will become a baby room one day) so I use that room as of right now but we have plans to move my inventory Into the 2nd closet in our Hallway, under the bed, and the wall space of our bedroom

It takes a white to build up inventory, unless you are me. 4 x TU Bulk 200lb boxes, a couple hundred lb a trip bins trips and just bought a 1150lb Bale of clothes from Goodwill Blue Box

Ahhh I’m trying to get my inventory situation in check. I’m only at about 600 pieces listed/to be listed and the clothes have taken over my bedroom. I don’t have a spare room and only a corner in my room. How heavy are your bins? I have some 70 quart bins that I’m using right now but they’re just too heavy for me to be picking up and moving all the time. I used to keep everything in a building that my dad owns down the street but it is too troublesome to drive back and forth and no matter how much air I squeeze out of the bags, the clothes still get that stale “outside” smell on them even though they’re inside.

Yeah, they definitely can get heavy. The ones on the top can be a trouble to lift down.

I'm in Indiana so it gets cold here as well. I'm thinking about getting a climate controlled storage unit because I also don't have room to grow my inventory since I'm at 2800 active. I thought about my garage but it isn't insulated and I thought the weather would affect Spandex and especially leather. What are your thoughts?

I am building a poshtopia under my stilt house fist thing was to insulate foam fill every crack and crevice. Have 2 dehumidifiers and AC for me I live in a warm and extremely humid environment so dehumidifiers are just as important as temp control.

Wow, with that many items. I would probably want another space. I'm hoping my garage storage is temporary until we buy another place. If you're looking for a long term solution, I don't think you'd be happy with your garage.
