Phrase keywords is usually used by general buyers including those window shoppers. They tend to search for products yet they're not sure if they will buy it. Phrase also will increase your acos as this will generate more clicks than conversion. Exact keywords targets the exact audience, Audience that knows what product they wanna buy.

Promoted listings standard has a minimum of 2% - try that, along with 5%, 8%, 10%, etc. (just make sure you have enough of a profit margin to cover the costs). At the same time, increase/decrease your daily PPC budget according to their performance. great videos, I have a question, when using the promoted listing advanced, lets say if I have 1000 items in ebay, is it better to spend PPC amount (lets say 10 dollars) on all of these 1000 items or is it better to promote some of hot items from these 1000 items? Is ebay PPC a good idea? may I ask? Just look at how amazon buried their sellers if no ad cost was spent on the platform? And the worst thing is the PPC cost gone up higher n higher each every single year. Now ebay at start may be good, but hopfully they won't end up like amazon cut thore way.

eBay (and Amazon) offer you organic traffic from their loyal customers, so PPC is not a must. However, it will definitely help you get more sales and profit well when done correctly. That's why it's important to start broad with minimum daily budgets to start testing what works, and narrow/scale from there, according to your results. It's not different than any other platform when it comes to PPC and it's benefits.

AutoDS doesn't keep track of your promoted listing fees. Our best advice is to increase your break-even or profit settings to cover for the costs of PPC. Keep in mind that in the beginning when you are creating broad PPC campaigns, you'll spend more than later when you've narrowed down the right products for your PPC campaign.

You pay ebay a minimum of $1 per click...They'll run it up to hundreds of dollars within a day

You can set your daily budget and eBay won't go past it. Once you start selling with PPC, learning from those keywords and scaling becomes cheaper and more profitable. But you need a budget to get the ball rolling.
