I have not posted the last two days but I do it every once in a while. I think it takes me a few days to start making sales after I start posting again. Not as much as you but I still work fulltime job so I post when I can. But when I give you a thumbs up I start making sales.

1:33 marcus 100% that is the ONLY smart way to run a reselling business list the good stuff first (the Homeruns) that will pay for the whole trip or the whole lot of items you got that day because even if it sits for years when those other items do sell those items are PURE profit meaning even after fees and business expenses are taken out there are no more COGS because again those first few items that are sold from a lot or a sourcing trips should pay for ALL the items its how i have run my reselling business for 26 years its how James runs his! i'm so glad your talking about this i know James has tried to explain it on his videos and i have tried to explain it in lives and in comments but again Thanks for Mentioning this because a lot people say oh its costing you money no because that inventory is already bought and paid for i can sit on it for however long i want and its not costing me money because its not selling the home runs are selling the mid grade is selling the slower movers they might sell right away but eventually they will sell and by the time the sell its pure profit and you really do not have to worry about COGS on those items because all the home runs (or good items) have long paid for the slower moving inventory

I agree. Been doing it 3 years. Sales are slow so I find and list better items first anyway. Also end and sell similar helps too.
@bennystratton7734Күн бұрын
@@semperfi-1918 yep not sure how much it helps like it use to but i have started to do the end and sell similar ever 90 days instead of every 30 days from Nov 2023 to June 2024 i was doing end and sell similar ever 30 days but from June to Sept 2024 i didn't do any and did not see a difference till middle of Sept so i figure since i have a big store (18k items) it does take time so if its not making as much of a difference as it use to then ill do it ever 90 instead of ever 30

Been listing almost daily but because I'm a niche seller (comics) I make 1-2 sales a week. Not surprised since these are wants not needs, and I'm okay with that. Good vid, sir!

Yeah that makes sense. When it’s a category like that it isn’t a necessity

What comics do you sell because that figure is really poor sales?

@@neildaniels18 Marvels, DCs and some indies...maybe 50 major keys but the majority sre non-keys. Only a few folks are collectors so I don't expect the books to be flying out of my boxes. Slow snd steady clears the room.

I stopped listing daily for a month and my sales fell off a cliff. I’m getting back to listing two items a day consistently and am definitely noticing more sales. Will be curious to see what happens when I get back up to 4-5 listings

During the hurricane I didn't list for a couple days and had my shop on vacation. I had several days with no sales which is rare for me. It has been picking up since I got back to work

I think turning a store off is a big indicator to any potential buyers that you don’t want to sell anything.

Yooo! How much are you paying for sourcing? I usually find about 10 times more than I need. I can start picking it up if you want to buy it.
