Why is your thermal printer printing sideways shipping labels on ebay? It doesn't matter if it is a dymo 4xl, rollo, or zebra. I COULD HUG YOU.. I finally got my label printer.. hooked it up.. was so excited last night to bang out a bunch of orders I got and then BAM.. could not for the life of me find a video, forum post, anything to explain what you did here. I was so frustrated with how many wasted labels I had and all the different ways I tried to print a label. Woke up this morning with a clear head and somehow found this video.. has absolutely made my day... and the best is after all that it really wasn't that hidden lol. I had been on that screen before and just was so annoyed I didn't click "See More". Great lesson for everyone, when you're getting mad .. just step away for a bit and cool down because your frustration is definitely causing you to miss things

Question. DO you have to do anything to your printers settings? I'm on an hp 2777e and the printer has options like this to set the size layout. If I manually go to my printer and set it up to take a 4x6 label. It gives me an error message telling me to load the paper because it needs to print on the left hand side and the label is on the right hand side.thanks

Hi, is there a way to do this when returning an item? I have a 4x6 thermal printer for my ebay store but I get these same ill-formatted return labels that don't work. Unfortuntely on the return page, there are no options other than print, download or email. I've been having to download + crop before printing which is cumbersome.

Hi Eric, I know this is an older video but I'm going to ask this here in case you or someone else knows a fix. Today I had half a dozen eBay orders to ship. I clicked Print Shipping Label for the first order, checked to make sure 4x6 label format was selected then clicked on Print Labels In Bulk. After checking the order weights, shipping carrier and class, I clicked Purchase Labels just like I always do. Instead of displaying each label eBay displayed the labels 2-up sideways on an 8.5x11 sheet. Any ideas how to fix this new (at least for me) problem with Print Labels In Bulk? BTW, I was able to go back and reprint each label one order at a time and they displayed and printed on my label printer correctly. Thanks for all your great videos and help, Gregg

Then my daughter decided to start selling on ebay and when she prints labels at my house, hers print this way. I'm a month late, but what I figured out you could do is choose "Print Another Label," and then select the 4x6. That will save your default & you can go back to the old label without having to buy anything else or cancel anything.

Good Lord, I thought I was losing my mind! I must have spent 3 hours last night trying to figure out why my test label looked perfect, but my eBay label was wrong. After about 20 labels, I gave up and went to bed. Woke up this morning and decided to see if you had a video on this very thing, and voila! Yes, you did! Thank you for saving me extra headache! On your recommendation, I went with the FreeX instead of the Dymo, and I absolutely LOVE it! I did this, and my settings are already set for 4x6 - but the damn thing STILL prints small and sideways. I have scoured ALL my settings on my computer and Zebra printer and it just refuses to print normal. this happens every time I power down my zebra printer (which I never do unless I have to unplug it) which is maybe once every few years.

I recently upgraded to a new Mac running on Monterey trying to print from a Dymo 450 label printer and it doesnt have the paper size option of #30256 any suggestions??? Go to your orders page, click actions>print another label. Additional options will be at the top, follow the videos instructions to change label size, then click the link telling you that you have already purchased a label, the settings should carry over to your print page. I hope this helps.

When I go to Ebay and tell it to reprint the label, it's not the same screen as you described and there is no place to make changes to settings. UPDATE AS OF 4-23: When you go to SHIP YOUR ORDER this option is AT THE BOTTOM OF THE FAR RIGHT fields that begin with Bold ORDER DETAILS. At the bottom of that section you'll see PRINT FORMAT and the option to CHANGE. In that option you'll see the label size options. And yes, you have to do this MANUALLY every time. I just spent 30 minutes with an Ebay rep figuring all this out and making suggestions.

I just printed the label from mobile and its sideways so now I have no order waiting to ship and am trying to find it to fix it. Goodness! Every time? Insane! @DeMeaning Plebny I found the answer in another comment: If you have already printed the label, you can go to the “Print Another Label" screen, click on "More Options" on the top right next to "Shipping Service", then click “Show More", and you will see the "Print format" where you can change this to 4x6.

I find that I get a better quality thermal label out of their app. It takes a little more effort to login to Paypal and fill out the form to print the label, but for me it's worth it for a bolder label. You also have access to USPS Commercial Pricing (possibly in eBay, too, I'm not certain).
