Ebb Tide Purple Rosebush

Ebb Tide purple rose bush is a floribunda that grows 3 to 4 feet wide and tall. It is exceptionally fragrant with a strong scent of cloves. It grows great in a flower pot or planted in ground.
The petal colors will be dark purple when hot but have a purple-pink hue in cooler weather. It’s USDA hardiness zone 5 from -10°F to -20°F, with proper winterization.

Key point; high maintenance! I have enough high maintenance throughout my yard. It is a beautiful rose i probably would do in a container rather than planted out to try it out for a few years and if I like it I would move the container throughout the flowerbeds to see where it looks best. If not I can plant swap in my plant group.

Souvenir Du Docteur Jamain is difficult to find in the states. However, I have found a vendor who might have it in the future. If I am able to add it to my garden, I will make a video. It would be neat to compare the colors side by side.

Yes. The Ebb Tide rose bush in my garden has a very strong fragrance of clove and citrus blossom.

Yes, absolutely. I grow mine in a pot. It should be winter hardy to Zone 5.

I purchased this from my local plant nursery early Spring. Big Box Stores will be getting in their rosebushes late February, but unknown if they will have Ebb Tide ordered. There are also several rosebush online retailers. I’ve had good success ordering from HighCountryRoses.com in the past.
