EBCs are great brakes. I use red stuff on my Mazdaspeed 6 in the rear, they pair well with the Corksport big brake kit.

Thanks for uploading this, always wanted to see how these are made.

one thing that's kept me from fitting full sets of EBC brake products to my street or endurance racing car has been the lack of in-stock US suppliers. All the companies I have spoken to have exclusively reported that my orders would be passed on to EBC and often times drop-shipping can take as much as 10 weeks. With my endurance racing prep-time often sub-8 weeks, I wind up with race pads from Hawk. If the Yellow or Bluestuff is as good for my application, I may be inclined to pre-order them.

I wasn't sure about EBC way back to be honest. I've been a long user of Mintex's line of brake pads, from my own car to race cars, but recently I swapped to EBC Green as my car is going through a transition period (engine swap etc) and needed something that stops great but lasts long (something that Mintex 1144 doesn't do). Very pleased by the results, it's a really great pad. I drive a Proton Gen.2. My only wish is that I could get a matched set for the rears also. Mintex has rear pads for it

I have nothing against EBC, but Jurid, Brembo are good brakes too.
@mingdingisdingding11 жыл бұрын
VladjoSK You are definitely right but if you try EBC you will notice a big difference. Up to 9m shorter brake distance compared to what you prefere. Try Green Stuff and you also safe the environment because there is no more dust emission and - you don´t have to clean off the dust from your aluminums.

mingdingisdingding your pads melted in a s2000. better off with ICER NRS Premium Ultra Pads. i rather Carbotech for fast road driving and Carbone Lorraine pads for track use.

This is a very interesting video. I've never heard of EBC before. I have an 04 Harley Davidson FXDI Super Glide and am wondering how EBC's front and rear motorcycle will do on my Harley Cruiser. This all looks pretty impressive.
@t.s.racing5 жыл бұрын
Brother, 2000 Superglide here, big horsepower and it sees drag strip laps regularly, both 1/4 and 1/8 mile. Wide band, contoured, floating 10 button EBC rotors, and Double HH pads up front, and SEMI-sintered in the rear. You will be 1000 percent happy, and the prices are comparable with any other pads and rotors, perhaps a few $ more than import junk, but aren't you worth it? Better than factory H-D crap, which isn't even in the same class. I get mine through DENNIS KIRK, with free shipping too. Best thing you'll ever buy for your Dyna that doesn't say S&S on the box !!!! 🇺🇸🏍🇺🇸🏍🇺🇸🏍🇺🇸🏍🇺🇸

Im driving 97 honda prelude type s. And im going through front pads really often. After long reaserch i decided to go for red stuff, i payed 108 euro for front pads today, will install them tomo, cant wait how they will perform.

yeah , and go for it , they are really impressive. i use the GD rotors and the yellow pads for my v8 s13, still on 4 lug even and am really imrpessed , i was a project Mu guy fr years , usually liked the Bforce, but the yellows are way more predictable and dont have hte slip feel of the mu. hot /cold , doesnt matter . i do stress following there break in or theyll be noisy ,and se there backing if applicable.only issue i had was powdercoat and they replaced with my reiept.shopping myself again

If you want quality you can't have quantity... This is why EBC Brakes doesn't have a giant stock of products in his storehouse...
@EgoShredder15 жыл бұрын
Hard to say as after fitting a new track rod end, I still have a lot of judder & steering wheel shake (may need more bits replacing perhaps like inner rack end). The judder goes away the harder I brake though. Despite this they do pull up pretty well but not outstanding, so the red stuff would have been a better choice. To sum up the Green Stuff are not bad, fairly good but I expect the Red Stuff will be the real deal.

Yesterday I fitted some EBC TurboGroove discs and Greenstuff Pads to my Peugeot 306 2.0 XSi. The pads are rated to 200bhp so they claim and I hope they turn out to be decent, otherwise I will be wishing I got the Redstuff pads instead.

Good video, like their website in my opinion and free delivery in the UK aswell. This video is either missing one thing or it's a bit old because don't EBC make 'Blue stuff' pads now? for supercars / really high performance cars I think. And does anyone have experiences with different types of discs, I'm just wondering, for fast road use, what's the best to use with some pads? slotted and grooved, just slotted or just grooved?
@Mr.Worf6315 жыл бұрын
If I remember Ford was working on a new brake system which used a pad system that went all they way around the disc. It seem to work well in the prototype stage, I just wonder what ever happened to it???

I fitted flash Alloy's on my Toyota Estima that my dog loves because of the moony roof! However this allowed unsightly brake dust to build up on the wheels. I therefore resolved this with Greenstuff. I fitted new/recon calipers and zinc coated rotors/discs but on fitting the pads it was impossible to include the backing shim just not enough room! Greenstuff pads working fine good product but will have to wear in a bit before I may need to think of retrofitting shims I guess as the shims that came included in the box got mangled so further expense unfortunately? As an update they are beginning to squeek a bit. Glad to buy British well done for that. Regards Will

would it be okay to use green pads in the front rotors and red for the rear, since the rear brakes are applied less then the front wouldnt it make sense to use stronger pads in the rear? would this be ok and safe?
@youngbean0079 жыл бұрын
+jeffrey aguilar I recently put new rotors and EBC Red stuff front and rear on my mx5. The way I look at it is I may need to replace front rotors and pads 2-3 times before I worry about the back
@Dr.Stacker9 жыл бұрын
+youngbean007 Not entirely true as the back pads usually tend to be significantly thinner in thickness but i do like jeffreys idea of having the red for the rear, not sure if its reccomended though :\

Does EBC produce "EBC Bluestuff NDX Formula Racing Brake Pads" for Nissan 24SXs? I'm able to locate "Yellowstuff" pads for 240SXs and "Bluestuff" pads on their own, but not both together.

I'm glad I watched this video. I was trying to get Brembo or Wilwood brakes but they don't have a set which fit on a 2006 Sentra Special Edition 1.8 Ltr. EBC does. I didn't want my brakes stamped with made China. I'm very happy to see they are made in England and It helps create jobs. I just so tired of made in China! ( No offense intended )

i have ebc green pads for my celica vvti. with stock discs they are worse than toyota pads. when the ebc green pads get hot, they smell like fish. this helps the driver to notice that they overheat, which i like. be aware that you have to buy pads and discs from ebc otherwise they could turn out be terrible. a very good combination should be ebc turbo discs with forodo ds 2500 pads.
