I really got into Atlanta Rhythm Section lately. I think it's helped me appreciate some of the more "jazzy" chord voices that you can use as a guitarist in a full band. Doesn't all have to be open chords, power chords, or Hendrix chords. I think your videos about fitting into the song as a guitarist are a good help to aspiring songwriters

You're absolutely right about not requiring studio quality gear to make videos. When the limiting factor of quality is our phone speakers, you only have to do better than that. Anything more is just overkill.

I listen with my PC's output into 2 Dayton Audio B652 speakers (4" midrange and 2" tweeter) + an ancient SONY 8" powered sub-woofer: SA-WM200...the combo sounds great by the way, and it was very affordable: I paid about $160 combined. The sound on Eric's videos is spotless, ie; no 60 or 120 hz hum, no hiss or distortion, it's just very natural sounding. So, you don't have to spend a ton of money to produce a very, very good sounding (and looking) video. Congrats to Eric! He knows what he's doing. Not to mention the guitar aspect...

Two things, dude: 1. You live in such a beautiful house. The neighbourhood looks so peaceful and quiet - I'm soooo jelous! 2. You have *SUPERB* taste when it comes to guitars - I'd sell my soul for a Firebird VII! ● - not to mention being able to own a Mustang and have my teenage 'Kurt Cobain moment' finally realised. Your Telecaster would be covered in drool if I got anywhere near it. Love 'em with a Bigsby AND in butterscotch!!....😍😍😍 Nice Strat too, though personally I prefer the large 70s headstocks. That looks like a nice bass too. You have a good ensemble/mix there of practically every sound you'd need. Only guitar type missing is one with active pickups, then any metal needs are taken care of too ☺ ● I do have a nice Joe Bonamassa Firebird-1 though ☺ plus she's in tobacco sunburst, so she's a little rarer. Good ol' Ebay 😉

For backing tracks, are you generally making your own drum grooves on that midi keyboard? They tend sound more minimalist (and more chill) compared to what I usually see/hear in ezdrummer. Quick, someone buy Eric a nice paper journal - so he can eliminate his post-it notes! Seriously, do you send the sound and video directly to the computer and then merge them later? Of, do you send the sound to the camera so it is all one file? BTW, those old Goya guitars are pretty nice for your first guitar - and they probably still sound good. The dano! Mustangs are cool, but they're very tempermental - one day they'll play great, the next day they won't hold tune!
