This is one of my favorite lessons of yours, Pastor! For being what the church should be: a reminder of a world to come, an ambassador of Heaven or the New Jerusalem. A pointer to the Kingdom which belongs only to Him. Prosperity gospel preachers aren’t the only ones who seem rooted to this world, perhaps tethered by the payoff of their church mortgage loans. I’m grateful for your focus, less on what God can do or be for us if we lean on His understanding, but more on lifting our minds towards Him and the Heavenly realm, remembering what we came for, rather than what we can build here or must endure before His arrival. All this displacement theology in the comments makes me sad. Paul was clear that we are not to be cocky. We have been grafted in. God still treasures His chosen people, Israel. And, if he clipped them to make room for us (glory to Him for THAT!), He will easily clip us to make room for the natural branches. So, to say that we took their place means God lied to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. God grafted us in. We are one family through Christ. And, apart from Christ, all are doomed to wrath, Jew and gentile alike. But, God has a plan to redeem His chosen people, the people of His covenant, through Christ. I so wish people could see. The old testament was like a giant painting. These things actually took place but were a picture for us to understand grace and salvation by Jesus the Christ. The temple was a picture of mankind. Jerusalem was a picture of God's set apart people. He told us we are like a city on a hill. All the seed of Christ is Jerusalem. The nation is the fig tree. When Jesus comes again then we will live in the New Jerusalem. Please don't be like the religious crowd at Christ first coming over Still doing the rehearsal as they were when he was crucified. Be ready looking for his return behold at midnight a cry was made the bridegroom cometh. The black horse rapture.

Maybe you want to keep believing the black horse is famine. The scriptures tell us the sun will turn black BEFORE the day of the Lord. He tell us at MIDNIGHT a cry was made go out to meet the bridegroom. Looks like it's going to be black on that day. The rider is carrying wheat and barley do you find it strange that wheat and barley are the first two harvest ? Do you find it Strange that he says a measure of wheat for a penny THREE measures of barley for a penny ? What was the parable in the Vinyard when the Lord of the Vinyard paid the vine dressers a penny ? A penny whether you worked all day or one hour. @@jeffc5474 All pre-tribbers. The pre-trib stance is that we must be raptured before the final seven years, which begins with the confirmation of the covenant (Daniel 9:27) which allows the Jews to rebuild their temple.

At 16:36 Jesus did not say in Mat.24 that He would ascend from the Mt.of Olives after His death and resurrection ! Not even basically. He told them somewhere else in the bible but the bible says they didn't understand. @@craigcrawford6595 If it wasn't so important I would've not said anything but to me it seems that it would confuse new believers down the road when they can't understand why just believing Jesus is the son of God saved people while he walked the earth and to be saved now we must believe that He is the son of God and died for our sins and rose from the dead to be saved ( Paul's gospel ). I wasn't trying to criticize but words that come off as " basically the bible says" can sometimes make the bible contradict itself and that is a tool Satan uses like with Eve and Jesus when Gods word had a spin put on it. I understand where you're coming from but do you get my point. And I'm not usually pointing out disagreements I have with this channel, I learn a lot from him.

a God, or Deity, is a human concept that evolved and began from animism of indigenous humankind of this world. From polytheism(idolatry) and evolved into monotheism(or monolatry). The Hebrew's Literature, aka Hebrew's Bible is the sole LITERATURE of the Jewish ancestry, and their Literature CAN NOT be the Chinese Literature, or the English's Literature, or Filipino's Literature. Religions were simply human cultural Arts, or cultural system. That being said, the Jewish religion were simply their cultural system, or arts, same way literature is sometimes under the classification of Arts. The creation and flood "stories" were simply epic "stories" and CAN NOT be a NATURAL HISTORY of human existence. Anthropomorphism is a human methodology which nullifies a God or Deity to be true. Also Adam upto Noah were neolithic(farmer-herder) human civilized era that was predated by PALEOLITHIC (HUNTER-GATHERER) uncivilized humankind of our NATURAL HISTORY. Also NONE of Noah's descendants have set foot in the Americas Continent, Australia, New Zealand, Tasmania, Papua New Guinea, Philippines, etc etc to populate the entire planet without an rebuilding another Ark, or Boat, same way Spanish Explorers did.

Prayers also did not work during 2x World Wars and no God heard the prayers of those who wanted war to stop in a month, or two. test point 3 - the jewish people were, according to the Hebrew's Literature(Hebrew's Bible and termed by christendom as Old Testament), are the chosen people of this God, but those Jews nonstop praying at the time of Germany's persecution of them have "no appearance"(no mighty angels were event sent) to save them from hunger, sickness and gassing to death. only humans think of any reason why a God did it, OR did not. This God has no existence that is why he can not say any reason for himself, but simply a human mental cognition.
