Them boys is snagging. It's illegal everywhere (except one or two places still, in Alaska) and it's disgusting. I've seen it happen in the Eel River in CA, in the wide shallow riffles where the salmon were actively zipping around spawning. The guys dragged them up and ripped out the roe, then they threw the salmon into the bushes since those salmon were inedible by the time spent spawning. Disgusting. I'll tell you what, I was miles down the river by foot and wasn't about to confront those rotten old boys, they would have hidden me in the bushes also.

This is why our fish runs will never return to what they were in the past. Even if you take down every dam in this country. PERIOD!!!!!!!!!!! It's called over fishing not habitat.

their trying to snag the kings, anyone ripping a float like that is a snagger. i stopped fishing above the highway bridge because of these people

LOL why would anyone fish like this. Im 75 years old and ive fished across Canada and i would never stand in a line of 20 people shoulder to shoulder and do what these men are doing.
