I've ridden this bike many times at American Cycle in Gross Pointe, MI... I have 1 word for the experience: EXHILARATING... It has the incredible comfort and technology of an Electra Cruiser with the power, quickness and speed of a class 1 e bike (IF needed), all wrapped up in an attractive, streamlined package... The extra highlight is the price: Around $1,600 and worth EVERY dollar spent... Final word on the bike: YES..!!! This definitely sounds like an “endorsement;” but as I know the seductive nature of those sweet, sexy Electra frame lines (in the right hands), I say endorse until you pass out my friend. As of this very evening, I am the proud owner of 3 Electra cruiser frames; the most recent acquisition being the basis of an homage to the Schwinn Stingray Fastback… with an emphasis on “Fast” via a BBSHD motor, and some respectable voltage. Won’t be as minimalist as this, but won’t be nearly as slow ‘neither. Glad to know you are as big a fan as I.

@@khianthex I thought 3 was a lot, but, oh yeah, you definitely get it. You indeed get a lot for your money with these bikes. Also check out “Ellsworth, The Ride.” Not the current, super ugly iteration; but the original design (also marketed as a rear hub e-bike by Ford) I have one of these too. That thing is a beast. They even manufactured it with horizontal dropouts and built in chain tensioners! Didn’t sell crazy well given the early 00’s price of $3200 (for the manual cruiser, not the e-bike!); but it came, for a time, with the fabled Davinci 171 rear CVT hub, capable of handling kilowatts of electric power. Anyway, friends in bikes!

This is interesting and in my research I seen other E-bikes that have single speed or iIGH of 3,5 or speeds. Of course they pretty much have to be mid range hubs. I seen one or two with belts. Any I have several bikes mostly Schwinns. My wife has an old Electra 3 speed special edition Karma cruiser. Got it at garage sale for $10. All it needed was a inner tube and adjust the 3 speed that was only going into nay 2 of the dears. She loves the bike but I wish it had a front break like my other 3 speeds. I like the clean looks of single or multi speed IGH. I don’t care for the muti speed muti sprocket bikes even though I have a few. I have heart failure and cannot ride my bikes anymore at least very far like a block. I understand that E-bikes with their peddle assist and throttle has help people with my condition exercise without straining your too much and improve your heart. There is so many choices of E-bikes I am not sure what to get. I have a mobility scooter that gets me out and about town but I miss riding bicycles. Thanks for the info great video.

Very good video. Very informative. Told me everything I want to know other than, when the battery DOES die, how do I replace it ? Do I have to buy a whole new bike every 2 or 3 years when the battery life sucks super bad? Any and all help is greatly appreciated. Thank you!

You can replace a battery by buying one from your local eBike shop that sold you your eBike. You don’t have to replace the whole bike.

Your local bike shop can access the battery by pulling the crank and removing the plate under the eBike. It really is a simple procedure.
