The Cruise control is something i don’t like especially the places i ride. I need short quick stops. I tried it out on my 1st ride as i seen reviews about it. When we need to stop fast & the bike keeps going, we called it whisky throttle. It’s very dangerous because you wanna stop, our feet come down & drag,we lean off the bike ready to bail & that leads to a crash! I hope my mileage doesn’t glitch, you’re absolutely rite, its a milestone looking at how many miles we’ve ridden. At my age 58 I’ve taken a step back & thought Wow look how far i rode my bike. I absolutely love our 20” Deer step throughs & i gotta give credit where its do & thats your reviews on our bikes. We had to slow down the Torque & shut off the cruise control & we learned that on your channel. Keep the reviews coming we sure can learn a lot about E-bikes on every aspect weather its good,bad or concerning. 👍😉🔋🚲

Hello I have a different bike and size direct drive motor , eg if I'm in level 3 and doing 30 mph and increase to level 4 or 5 fast short bursts then my battery level will go from 90% and drop to 20% on display. Moment's later the battery level shows 90% again, I believe that the batteries are draining at different levels and the BMS compensates this balancing the cells and moment's later the display is back to 90% again.showing a normal reading. Try running a test in 1st or 2nd and not changing gear on flat ground for a mile or so to see if your bike shows any changes, also double checkalll wiring connections .

Thanks for the video Richard. I didn't want to have an unpleasant experience with the cruise control on my Deer 20" after reading and watching the reviews, so I leave my cruise control turned off. I do love my Deer so far though!

Have a Deer 20 as well. Overall very good ebike; especially the full suspension. Does the motor have a strong whirring noise at higher speeds?

I was think buying the Deer Mini, but after you point out the issues, it hard decision to make. Magicycle should fix the battery meter and the cruise control issues. Have you tested the HJM breeze 20?

You can program the bars for the battery indicator in the display so they are even increments of 20% each

Thank you for all the info regarding that ebike. I would have loved to get one, but I just can't trust that company with their customer support and warranty. My brother bought 2 Magicycle and one of them had an issue with the battery the moment it was delivered and they"ve never wanted to replace it saying it was normal! A friend of his had the same issue and sold the bike.

Its unfortunate but most of these companies are all owned and managed by chinese people that could care less about the quality of their products. Sometimes they work great, sometimes they don't either way, they get paid.

Don't like the self activated cruise control, imagine if your car did that? I prefer the one where you turn it on if you want it.

I noticed that you have a suspension seat post installed. Is the rear suspension not enough?

It does a nice job. But, I put the suspension seat post on all the bikes that I keep for a while because it really improves the ride. It does help even on bikes with rear suspension.

I have the Ocelot Pro and have had the same issue with the fluctuating battery level, so I don’t necessarily trust it.

The auto-cruise is definitely dangerous. The only thing you can do is to pedal a little as you approach an intersection to make sure the cruise is off, or tap the brakes. MC should have a way to put a separate button on to engage/disengage, just like a car. Problems other than that, NO PROBLEM.
