LOL when you said, "I was waiting and waiting and waiting for Trek ebike to kick in". That says all between a torque sense vs cadence sense ebike. I own a Ride1Up LMT'd and it is a blast to ride. I commute 15 mile each way, three day a week. Good review.

Hello great review but do you know how far you could get using only throttle?

Great Review!!!! Also do you think you can get good exercise with the core-5 on a low pedal assist?

R A yes...you can...it is just so tempting to pump it up to a higher level.

I have an ecotric seagull. I am wondering which seat to upgrade to. I never gave much thought to a suspension seat post. What kind of just seat is the brown one. Would the brown seat be good without the suspension post, or do you need both. I bought a gel top for my seat only used it once hated it. So now I need advice. Thanks Mark

Mark In TX In my opinion, the best comfort investment is the suspension seat post. I replaced the seat and didn’t feel that much improvement...until I replaced the post.

I am interested in an adjustable stem to give me a more upright position on my Trek FX fitness bike. I am almost 58 years old and I want to switch to a more upright position for riding. Where did you get the adjustable stem for your Ride 1Up Core-5?
@randallunsford94354 жыл бұрын
I ordered it off of Amazon. They have several to choose from and it is not hard to change out.

I have the LMT'D, which also has a torque sensor. When you set the PAS to max, oh man, it's not subtle at all! Lol The Trek is probably just under powered compared to R1up models.
@randallunsford94354 жыл бұрын
LMT’D is hub drive, right? That may account for the difference.

@@randallunsford9435 Randal, a suggestion for you. Why don't you do a test ride of the LMT'D, so you can do a comparison with your Core-5? Or more precisely Ride1Up torque sensor bike versus Ride1Up cadence sensor bike. Would be very interested in your comments. I'm thinking of getting a Ride1Up commuter bike, but leaned towards LMT'D just because it has a torque sensor.

@@Steve-yo5jn I wouldn't waste money on anything without torque sensing... 🤔

hi im from california , i have a question i just purchased mine about a 3 weeks ago i have had for a week i tightened every bolt down and i also belt the guard for the gears back out cause it did come bent in and also i fixed the breaks so its not scraping . but when im taking about anywhere from 0-12 mph it makes a loud rattling noice as if maybe the chain is slapping?
@Ray69camaro3 жыл бұрын
I heard that the battery makes a similar noise. The solution was putting some felt pads under the front bottom and sides of the battery.

The Trek bikes are really lousy electric bikes if you want thrills, you need to try something with a Bafang Ultra mid motor, so much torque it'll flip-out from under you, believe me... 🤗

@@THINJIMI I have two lately, a 2020 Rize RX with a Bafang Ultra mid motor and a 2020 Rize Blade with a Bafang 1,000 watt hub motor...

Miles Campbell - i’ll keep in mind what you’ve been saying and been researching it. I know I want full suspension and what do you say about the motors is very interesting. Do you know if I got a mountain E-Bike, are they legal like a class 3? Ohio only goes to class 3. Some I look at go over 28mph. I absolutely love these bikes. I also have a Nakto Skylark I bought as my first one and bought the Lectric only a week later as the Skylark is a little lightweight, but it was my first try.

@@THINJIMI Pretty-much all ebikes can be unlocked to go faster, mine goes scary fast with a motor that peaks at 1,600 watts. I think about 25mph is a comfortable top speed, remember the stock brakes aren't meant for super high speeds... There's so many variables, Biktrix and Wattwagons have nice, powerful full suspension bikes 🧐
