Thanks.. been waiting for a someone to do a overview of this bike. Look forward to your update videos.

I think you did an excellent job on this video! I have one question for you though. You mentioned that on throttle only it took approximately 300 yards to get up to the 20 MPH. Is that accurate? That’s three football fields. I’m getting this bike to assist be getting to a trolley stop as there is a pretty big hill at the beginning of my trip… hopefully it has enough power to between the throttle and my legs to make it not so rough on me. Again awesome video. I just thought of one more thing… do you remember the brand name on the lights you added? Thanks and enjoy. Bernie

Can you please do a more in-depth review. Maybe cover the computer, the ride quality, some footage of it in motion etc. Would really appreciate your insights.

Bought the 700 series (XR) in the same color a few months ago, love it. I'm 6' 3", 270lbs and the 700 series hauls my fat azz up to 28mph with pretend pedaling (as one runs out of gears at about 24mph or so). I've set the controller on mine to 22 amps (1000 watts) and there's not a single path or road I've found that it cannot handle with ease. I DID have to take my 700 series into the bike shop for rear-wheel truing however, as the spokes in the back were VERY loose as they came from the factory, but that solved 100% of of any noise-related (and ride-quality) issues I was having with the drive line. However, I would recommend though that smaller riders consider something like this Core5, as the 700 series (XR) weighs in at over 70lbs and is gigantic as far as frame size. Perfect for me, but certainly not for smaller riders or those who might have trouble lifting that much weight up on to a bike carrier. I'm impressed with the quality and value of Ride1Up, for sure!

I like it better than the Rad Mission that came out.
@Alttabbins4 жыл бұрын
If the Rad Mission came with more than 1 gear, I'd be sold. I am looking for a commuter bike that doesn't look like a novelty item. This looks like the best option, but its not going to ship for months.
@RomainDelmaire3 жыл бұрын
Not only it's a better bike for the price, but Ride1Up is a much more serious company. At least they don't take order without even knowing when they will have stock. As far as I'm aware, Ride1Up doesn't lie to their customers about that kind of stuff. With Rad, 4 months passed between the day I ordered my bike and the day I cancelled my order and they proceeded to lie to me multiple times telling me that my order would ship in 2 weeks blablabla, 2 weeks pass and nothing would happen, and they would delay the delivery by another month and repeat the same pattern every time. Looking at the subreddit, this is a widespread issue with Rad that not only affect the bikes, but also the accessories. People have to wait 4 to 6 months before receiving their order despite Rad charging your card on the day of the order. Ended up ordering a Core 5 with better specs for a similar price and it was shipped in less than 24 hours. No BS from them, no lying to gain customers. What's advertised on the website is what you get.

How is the ride without any front suspension? Has the suspension on the seat helped? thanks
@randallunsford94354 жыл бұрын
The suspension on the seat post on the Core-5 is a Suntour NCX...and it makes a HUGE difference. I’ve never ridden a bike with Front suspension. My wife’s Ride1Up comes in today. I’ll get back w you and let you know.

Randal do you find that at level 1 assist it goes too fast? I'm hitting about 18 mph flat with light pedaling. Speed just seems to keep climbing until 18 or 19 mph for me (i'm 175#). I have another ebike and it's level 1 is only about 12 mph - which is great for traveling with others that don't have ebikes.
@randallunsford94354 жыл бұрын
