Great videos keep them coming. I have a quick question I have an 2022 11 speed giant talon hardtail and I'm wanting to fit a 1500watt rear hub motor,but the kit comes with a 7 speed cassette not 11. Will this fit on my bike or can I remove my 11 speed cassette and put it on the new rear wheel with the motor? Thankyou 🇬🇧

Very helpful video. I always thought those rear hub motors come with freewheel instead of free hub cassettes. Would a Shimano 9 gear cassette would fit too?

Bugger looks like the guy never got back to you aye I basically asked the same thing if you can put different size gear Casset on but if he hasn't responded to you I guess you don't respond as damn shame guess you can't do it

I'm trying to find weather you can put like 8 gear casset freewheel on a 7gear ebay hub?? Does anyone know if I can possibly do this myself before I decide to take it in and get it serviced and done by a bike shop

Did you make the hole of the cassette removing tool bigger? I just bought the tool and my 14mm hubmotor axle can't go through the tool because its too big.

How did you modify the tool as the one I have is hardened tool steel and only got about half a mm before the drill bit wore out

Is there a way I can put a free wheel hub on the motor or put a 11 or 12 seed Kassette on it so it would cover up the motor a bit more ?

I have 3000 miles on my cassette but the new chain is skipping on the smallest gear I usually ride on..do you think I need to replace the cassette?

Your kits come with 7 gear cassettes, are there any with 8 gear or do i have to buy it separately?

You can actually buy an extra free gear to place on it, or use a spacer to just ignore one of the gears. Also just realized I’m replying to a 3 year old comment lol

😂 bro I’m doing the same thing. The rims came with the e motor was cheap. It broke. Putting my original 29er rims on it. It only had 20 spokes holes. I made 10 more spoke holes 😢 using my deremel. I might use JB weld glue to make it stronger. Maybe rap around niple with duck tape to make it safer. Is the gear shifting properly. I have to lose 2 gears to make it fit in, I think. Im working on it right now.

I had the cassette get chewed up pretty bad on my bike and I only have about 500 miles on it. Gonna replace the derailleur at the same time and the chain too

I did this and found my new Shimano derailleur hit the motor and I cannot solve the problem. I will add I am a 76 years old and new to returning to bikes. I cannot get the bike to a shop..

Your derailleur hanger must be bent
