Owning both, I will say that Lectric phone support is much better. Aventon phone CS can take hours to answer the phone and days to respond to online tickets. Lectric answers phone calls almost immediately. Having a local dealer is great, but it is ABSURD that they can't hire more CS reps. That said, being able to test drive multiple Aventon bikes and other brands at once was key to me determining which bike to buy. I ended up buying a less powerful lighter bike than I thought I was going to buy when I walked into the bike shop.

I have a Lectric XPremium and love it. I have had it a little over 2 years now. It has changed my life. I have called Lectric several times over different issues, always caused by me, and they always answer first or second ring. They also go way beyond what they need to do and then in most cases there isn't even a charge! They send me the parts for free even though it was my fault. They are so great! And the person on the phone actually spends time with you and even chit chats with small talk. Just unheard of in this age of doing business with a company. They are starting to expand to bike shops and I am getting ready to stop in at one in Albuquerque when I travel there soon. I am going to buy another Lectric model, probably the step thru XPress or The One. But I won't let go of my XPremium because that is just a Cadillac in the ebike world. What a smooth ride it delivers. On the other hand, I have always had my eye on Aventons. They are such a sleek and pretty bike. (But the price holds me back.) Thanks for making this video. I have been watching your videos for years. I was hoping you were going to say which one you liked better. Did your dad ever try an XPremium? His Aventon looked pretty sharp. I always enjoy his take on the ebike issues because we are probably about the same age.

I own both brands and Lectric phone customer service is far far better than Aventon. It's embarrassing how long it takes to get through to Aventon's phone customer service and their online response takes days.

The XPress 750w also comes with a free second battery with the preorder which makes it a great deal at $1299.

I needed the lightest bike possibly, Lectric was a great value, inexpensive, 49 pounds, fits in a small SUV, can charge off solar battery.

Aventon Customer support is terribly slow. I've had my Pace for less than a year and have had to deal with CS twice. I don't think I'll buy from them again nor would I recommend anyone else buy from them. If you do buy Aventon be prepared for bad warranty support.

If you're going to buy aventon, 100 percent get it from the bike shop. I get free service and tune ups for LIFE and instead of waiting for parts to ship you can just take it into shop and get parts that day, plus aventon has 2 year warranty i think lectric is one. I absolutely love my aventure 2, but my second option would be lectric no doubt

We love our Aventon Level 2's! We have never ridden the Lectric brand bike but we have tried Pedigo and Rad bikes. We enjoyed being able to try the bikes out at our local bike shop and also being able to take them in for any upgrades we purchased and also for general maintenance. Price was worth is and we always get people checking us out when we are riding! Great video!!

I bought Aventon aventure 2 costumer support not great plus price comparison with lectric big difference plus Aventon just raised the prices of there bike like a month ago and they don’t have big difference from the competitor only that it look more design I quess

Well, once I clicked the CC button I could watch this. While Ryan’s coverage is great just can’t tolerate non stop “questions”. He didn’t ask a singe question yet every sentence ended in a ?…. Why can’t he dump the upspeak and just make statements? Content 10, presentation 0. Hooray for Closed Captioning!

Lectric 3.0 is a solid bike out of the box. But with only 120 miles of varied riding my back hurts from riding and lifting. Suspension seat post and wide seat are just ok.

Id suggest a better suspension seat such as the one made by Suntour.

@@tumbleweed1976 Saddles are really hard to recommend as it is different for each person. What feels nice to sit on for 5 minutes might be terrible for an hour. For me, I needed a large center cut out to relieve pressure.

Bought an adventure 2 a month ago to commute to school and work and I love it. I feel like I'm getting less range than expected based on my research but that's my only complaint

Tough call, I really like both but the rack on the Abound is too short for my use case with two child seats. I also like the dual batteries on the Lectric but Aventon had a crazy sale with dual batteries.

I purchased a newer, lesser known brand bike but whenever I travel in the US and want to ride an e-bike at my destination - it has *always* been Lectric bikes that the big rental companies rent out. They're easy enough to ride but few of the models are a good fit for me since I've got short legs (exception being the last one which the kid handling the rentals did tell me it was one of the cheaper Lectric bikes I was on but it felt nice when I had the seat as low as it could go). My local shop is authorized to sell and service several different brands of both standard and e-bikes. It even sells Lectric but I assume they are trade-in bikes or the shop itself buys them directly, assembles them and then sells them for a bit of profit? I went to the shop enquiring about the Aventon Adventure 2. They didn't have that one in stock but the owner actually talked me out of buying Aventon because of customer service/warranty work. He had been finding Aventon to be less and less responsive to his required assistance with making authorized warranty repairs. Too many issues were "falling through the cracks" at Aventon and it was taking too long to get the required parts to make warranty repairs. He also understood that Lectric bikes in general just feel too big for me. He showed me a different bike that had not been on my radar and said that he's had no problem getting that particular company to respond quickly to his sales or service calls/requests. I went with that brand. Customer service is important to me and I will need to rely on the shop itself to assist me. The shop will be the face of customer service for me. If the shop feels that that *they* get better customer service from a less commonly known brand - then so be - I'm going with the less commonly known brand. ETA: The brand I went with had just about identical specs as the Aventon I was interested in looking at. I decided to wait for them to order the newer version of the bike he had for me to test ride. It had a couple of things that I think made it a better bike - 8 gear Shimano and dual (both cadence and torque) sensors.

@@vigilant_1934 Troxus. Lynx Plus specifically. It isn't a well-known brand but I like my bike. And I like that the bike shop knows the bike and trusts that they can service it when the need arises because the company responds in a timely manner to their inquiries. I don't imagine that the engineering varies much between a lot of the bikes, but I do imagine that customer service is a differentiating factor?

Cool video, Aventon has had a terrible reputation lately about customer service while the Lectric has the opposite. You would expect the more expensive one to have a better customer service but thats not been the case.
