Excellent review on the new XPeak 2.0! Very thorough and comprehensive. Favorite features are the new torque sensor, 8 speed Shimano, 20AH battery option, color display, and Renegade front forks. Hopefully, they will add a brake light function to the production model. Solid Ebike!

nice review! I have the 1.0 XPeak and added a 115mm stem riser to make the riding position more comfortable. From the looks of the cabling in your review it appears there is enough slack to allow for such a riser. Love the larger battery and the shifter looks to be the same as what I had on my dearly departed (long story) Aventon Pace 500.3. One thing I don't like on the 1.0 XPeak is the headlight not casting a very wide or bright beam, meaning you often couldn't see upcoming turns in on bike trails until you were right on top of them. Hopefully this is an improved Elite headlight. Would have also preferred a handlebar setup (like what e-cells uses for example) that allows for much more gear attachment points. All in all, the torque sensor alone means I'll be upgrading to the 2.0.

Of the 4 or 5 early reviews, this is the most comprehensive. You answered my main question already. Are the frame dimensions different from the 1.0 or just more rigid now?

Thanks, that's our goal. I'll have to look at their website, I'm guessing it's pretty similar based off of seeing them in person.

super review .did you change setting for the trail ride or was that stock ,the way it came from factory.and you said something you cant adjust the stem?? is that you cant change the height of the handle bar?

So glad Lectric moved away from the 7 speed push button.

All of these Lectric bikes are looking amazing... right after they dropped international shipping. I REALLY hope they find a way to bring it back :')
@EbikeEscape14 күн бұрын
I would think that's unlikely unfortunately.

Frame looks more solid, doesn't seem like the wobbling issue will occur with these

We will ride the step-thru and test it out. They weren't available for testing.

So glad Lectric moved away from the 7 speed push button. I wish that every company allowed pas settings to be adjusted manually. Brake actuated tail lights really should be standard though. Looks like the rack and fenders are a pre order bonus and may not be included in the future.
@EbikeEscape14 күн бұрын
Elite headlight, bike lock, suspension seatpost are the special included accessories. I think fenders and rear rack will always be included.

what bike would you go with this bike or the aventon aventure 2
@EbikeEscape3 күн бұрын
I'm always budget minded so if it were my dollars I'd go XPeak 2.0. But if you live near an Aventon dealer and need dealer support that can be a huge plus.

Their are so many fat tire 26x4 e bikes. The difference doesn't seem that big. How do people choose? What makes this one special?
@EbikeEscape10 күн бұрын
Mainly price, front fork and torque sensor
@theresejames882610 күн бұрын
@EbikeEscape and the larger 20ah battery. Wish I had a larger battery on my Xpress 750w high step. Why didn't they put a brake light on it? A lot of complaints about that.

Soo Lectric still does not offer a comfortable full suspension 26" fat tire E bike that doesn't have a bent over riding position?
@DSpaceNine12 күн бұрын
a stem riser helps with the bent-over riding position but yeah that hard-tail is another $500+ feature that requires you to look at other brands
@TerryM133 күн бұрын
I was thinking the same thing. So many options out there with a much better suspension especially if using off road.

If fakes can give me the same quality as the real thing, I need fakes! I don't want to pay more! I always buy the bags I want at kislux .

nobody got to review the step thru. wonder why. does it still have that wobble? i hope not i was disappointed with the first one.

It wasn't the production model so they didn't want anyone to ride it. We will report back.

What do you still like about the Aventure 2 over this?

@@EbikeEscape is this better I ride 25 miles a day on the aventon and it’s been great and reliable

@ higher load capacity (I’m 280 lbs and pull a trailer). Ability to have a front rack. Larger standard charger. Metal fenders. Aventon dealer 30 miles from my house. I’m also guessing better fit and finish.
@NLbiking12 күн бұрын
@@gonerydin4225 I have the Aventure.2 and it has the death wobble as soon as you put the baskets on it so I ride without them. I assume this is why they don't allow for basket mounting. My Aventure also has plastic fenders, I'm not sure why anyone would want metal fenders, they are super noisy and dent easily. When did you get yours? I think the XPeak being $400 cheaper with the 20ah battery and 24a controller is worth doing a 5-minute assembly but I am more handy with bikes.

Guess what 70 year olds are very savvy on mechanics. Most likely much more than you unskilled youngsters. I find your comment offensive.
