That is definitely coming! I really want to take it to some hills and off-road fire trails soon now that the weather is getting really nice.

Problem with any Electric Bike is, When running at High Speeds like 30 MPH is you go through Battery You are not going to get Good range at those Speeds Even at 52 volts Many people forget that were ever you go you have to get back, But all the same E Bikes are a Great transport, I have the the Engwe EP-2 Pro and running it at 52 Volts and have done nearly 3,000 miles on it inc Towing a Trailer

Very true. I typically average around 17-19mph when riding, but with 95% throttling most of the time it can decrease the battery faster. The nice thing about it being a 20ah battery still gives a lot of range for most of my typical rides. That Engwe EP2-Pro is a GREAT ebike! 3,000 miles is amazing!

@@EbikeProducts 17-19 mph AVERAGE??? Wow. That's hauling. I use my ebike around 3 times per week, but just for pure enjoyment only. I average around 10-12 mph because I am always cruising. I never run out of battery on my ocelot pro.

If you add a suspension seatpost to a bike with full suspension aren't you going to increase the amount of bobbing while pedaling? Maybe it's not a factor if you're intending to just run on battery power most of the time and only pedaling lightly & occaisionally. Does the smaller tire size affect the acceleration and top speed compared to the 26" wheel model?
@EbikeProducts
@EbikeProducts 4 ай бұрын
Mmmm... I didn't think about the extra bobbing issue while pedaling. You could be right. I do find that I don't pedal very much with a bike like the Deer. Both models accelerate so well, I don't really think about the difference. The Magicycle bikes have so much flexibility with regards to settings, it is possible to make it accelerate faster on both models if you want it to, but the stock setttings on both bikes are fast and at a safe level.

Ok, thanks. If this bike is too heavy to even get some exercise in by pedaling while using some PAS settings, I guess it's not for me.@@EbikeProducts

@@mellowjammer it’s definitely an ebike you can still get a lot of exercise on if you wish. The extra weight is not really a factor having a motor that is as powerful as the one on this ebike. Since the system does a step up in speed per PAS level, you can set it to PAS 1, 2 or 3 and set the pace you want to go at then change the gears to higher levels which will make you have to use leg power. It’s a great workout that a lot of people get from this kind of ebike. I do like the feel this bike has for pedaling a lot. It’s very comfortable to pedal on and not all e-bikes are like that. Some other brands are terrible to pedal due to odd positions. It will also depend on a person’s height that make a difference.

Have you noticed any wobble? Can you put 10-15 lbs on rack and see if it wobbles?
@EbikeProducts
@EbikeProducts 2 ай бұрын
The Deer Mini is our new camera ebike and the trunk bag we put on the back averages up to 20 pounds with a bunch tools, our abus locks (heavy duty), camera equipment, etc. Neither the Deer or the old Ocelot had any wobble whatsoever. Super stable even with a lot of weight on it. I’ve never felt a wobble on any 20inch fat tire ebike that I can remember. The low center of gravity and typically wider frames probably provide a better balance overall. I’ve felt wobbles on 26” fat tire and non Fat tire frames though with weight on the rack especially when it’s a trunk bag due to the higher position of the weight.

I love my Ocelot Pro, but it will be obsolete within the next two years I predict unless the ebike new laws start kicking in to limit ebikes to 28 mph. That said, even with the advent of some very fast ebikes coming out, my Ocelot remains a trusty and reliable bike. I rarely go above 22 mph anyways. I have no intention of getting the deer. In my opinion, the rear shock is worth $500 or so more than the pro, but I am not going to sell my pro, just for a very slight upgrade. The fat tires on my pro are quite good at absorbing bumps, and my seat bar shocks remove the remaining bumps. I used it fairly regularly on the off road and it's very adequate for me. My main point is that if you already a have pro, the deer isn't worth the hassle of selling the pro and buying a deer. Just my opinion.

1000% agree. The Ocelot Pro and the Deer 20" are my most used ebikes among them all. If someone has an Ocelot Pro and loves it, there's no reason I can see they need to upgrade to the Deer 20" just for the rear suspension as (like you mentioned) the fat tires do a ton of the work making the ride smooth already, unless you want to do more off-road riding. I do like that the Deer 20" can turn off the cruise control, not a fan of that feature on the Ocelot Pro when it can't be turned of manually so it never engages, but that is a minor complaint. I also agree with your prediction on regulations. Thanks for sharing!

@@EbikeProducts - True. Whoever invented that cruise control should be fired immediately. It's annoying.

Yes. That is not a very far distance and it could likely do 10x that with pedal assistance.

my next ebike will have a belt. im done with chains
@BillyO8828
@BillyO8828 2 ай бұрын
Ebike technology is still in it's medium development stage. The reality is that I almost never use my gears, so yes, belt drive is far superior to chain drive for bikes. They no longer slip like they used to. My perfect ebike would be 1500W at 60V with at least 30AH and under 100 pounds and 70 mile real world range and at least 130 NM torque with single motor and one battery. It will happen. Give it 2 more years or so.

@@BillyO8828 1500W is way too much for an ebike becuase you dont need to go 40mph. In 2 more years I could see an all out ban on bikes like that for sidewalk use. Even now, a few states and parks already have a ban on ebikes that go over 20mph.
