Everyone needs to realize too. There’s a big logistical problem going on right now and it’s affecting all these companies. They are struggling to get parts. Still waiting on a controller for my Happyrun bike. Some companies have local shops that will work on their bikes. Unfortunately all those places are hundreds of miles from me. I’ve learned how to fix stuff myself.

Good idea. I think you do that on whatever bike you have and then post it. That would help a lot of people. I may do this as well. I am in the same predicament. I have a GELEISEN Electric 48V 17.5Ah1450W with 32MPH. I can hit reach that on flat with a workbag and I am 212 lbs. I am impressed with the bike but cannot get it serviced anywhere in Southeastern MA. I have to flush my own hydraulic brake line bc it's close to the handle and quite squishy. Most bike shops won't touch ebikes here. So like most people I hop on here to find solutions. They should tell you that this may turn into a DIY once you buy the thing. But then again if they did many of us would have never had the opportunity to be lucky enough to enjoy one of these awesome machines. There are a great many to choose from. It's been amazing commuting to and from work. Beautiful weather and great parking options right up front. It has rekindled that childhood joy of riding again in me. I have enjoyed this past summer especially in consideration of the last 4 yrs of insanity we all had to endure. It's like these institutions want us back to times of segregation I remember well. It didn't work back then and it really doesn't work know. We need to come together and what's better then going outside and enjoying nature. Anywho, I have other bikes like an SWorks that I took out today for a night ride. It was light but I felt it lacking compared to my 90 lb ebike. It's never going to be the same again. The need for more speed while maintaining safety features is the next logical step so I decided to pick up the Ecells Monstar arriving supposedly at at Nov/Dec. That said I love the GELEISEIN and I will pass it on to my son or daughter.. For the price I paid which ended up around $800 on Amazon it was a definite value buy. I love it. Anything comparable with nice components will cost you twice that price or more. It is the perfect bike for people over 5'8"ish. Solid bike. Watch the videos on YT. Also watch the Monster videos as well. I did years of research so you may want to look at the 2 or so 60v options if you want a bit more speed to keep up with most traffic and not have to risk your life on some of these road shoulders. Lots of people have been getting hurt and even dying from getting hit by distracted or intoxicated drivers. Many of us still don't have decent bike paths even here in MA. I may be making a few videos myself on my ebike work and posting them as well. Not looking to build subscribers but just help others like I have been helped. Peace!

I’m really having a difficult time deciding between the ecells five star and the wired freedom, or just spend the $2000 I was going to buy an E bike with and fix up my Onyx CTY2. I just can’t believe how many E bikes on the market are below 52 V, when I believe 60 V should be the standard.
@Ebiketips12 ай бұрын
@@jcolt84 Thanks for watching. Do you like your Onyx? That style is different than Wired or Ecells. Have you looked at Goat? Rumor has it they are coming out with a 72v bike soon.
@jcolt842 ай бұрын
@@Ebiketips1 I love my CTY2. Oddly enough, it tops out at 54 miles an hour, which is strange because a lot of RCR don’t even go 54 miles an hour! I think that what is turning me away from the wired freedom is the fact that they don’t have a direct drive motor, and I think that that’s something that I will need to have. Goat has a pretty good bike from what I understand, but I heard somebody wants to talk about how it was a repackage to Chinese bike, but I’ve been unable to find another brand that has that specific bike. The thing about Onyx bikes is they are a lot like older cars, and that they can be restored at a later date, and I think you’ll see quite a few of them that are in the future. You know the crazy thing is, you can buy a direct drive hub motor like the one on the original RCR for about $350, and it is pushing up to 20kw! My CTY2 tops out at just over 9000W which is much more than they advertised!

My Engwe L20 2.0 does not have P settings. Their displays on this bike is utterly ridiculous. All Engwe will tell you is "what is your order number so we can help you". Then...you may never hear back from them. I would never choose Engwe again, & there are countless defects & issues all over FB. My Engwe arrived while I was away on a long business trip. Delivery was tracked to arrive before I left. One bike did arrive before I had to leave, but the 2nd bike showed up after I left. When I did arrive home & opened the box. There was the charger but NO battery. Engwe simply said I waited too long after bike was delivered to report no battery. It's been 6 months & still no battery and absolute NO more responses from Engwe when I attempt to get my battery. I'm not alone with these types of problems with Engwe. Buyer beware. I also just Subscribed!
