Kenny Barron's piano speaks to the soul, whose secret language he knows. An uncommon lyrical sense, a suave touch and an incredible sense of harmony and rhythm

Ronald nice to meet you here ! A good viedeo with new technologiy .Alas ! The club New Moring , a Paris - Paris mon amour . Infortuneately i was not at the opening concert 1981 with Art Blakey and The Jazz Messengers . We went often to the New Morning , until 2014 . You know , the horrible and dramatic turning poit in our lives wich changes all . The club N.M has subsided , too much mish-mash . a small consolation ; that we con no longer travel to Paris . Ronald be well & take good care of yourself .Ciao jazza

@@jackiehard-bopladybrown6919 Jazza you are one in a million! You look after yourself, because you are a strong woman and fighter. If, at times, you feel lousy, or depressing listen to your favourite jazz music, like Bud Powell, Sonny Clark, or Keith Jarrett, etc. So wishing you well and strength, Jazza. Keep up the spirit. Wonderful to hear Kanny again. EB, do you know at which venue this was filmed? Drummer needs a sedative or less mic. But great timing. Audience is very responsive. So rewarding to hear their reactions. Thanks EB.

HI Nancy, I filmed it in the New Morning, one of the most famous jazz club in Paris.

@@ebjazz93 Thanks for responding. Nice job. The sound is very good. This club attracts a very receptive audience. I LOVE hearing appreciative and vocal fans.

@@ebjazz93 PS: I see now why I thought the drummer's mic was too dominant. You were filming on the drum-side. Problem explained .🙄😋😑

Haney that's correct! But how did you hear it from your seat? I remember attending two piano trio concerts: Lyle Mays and Keith Jarrett. In both cases from the highest seats of both theaters (the cheapest) the drums were heard loudly. At the KJ concert I went down to the stalls for a second and found that the sound was more balanced. Anyway, the sound quality of this recording is GREAT. Gracias por compartir. Saludos desde Buenos Aires.

@@juliodicarlo5313 Hola Julio, In this club, i heard it like you hear it now. But I recently had the same experience as you with another concert of Kenny Barron on 2 september at the Paris Philharmonic, i was at the second balcony just on top of the drums; It was so loud you could barely hear the piano. So i crossed all the venue to find a seat of the left side. Anyway jazz in a phiharmonic has always been disappointing for me, too much echo.
