Look imma give yall a lil history listen. California has a few different sounds when it comes to music but the most know in California streets is norcal sound and socal sound. Socal is more known for its Gfunk sound. Well norcal is know for its mobb music sound. They both get their influence from the funk era. Detroit has amov life sound as well and thats why norcal music and Detroit music have similarities

If you look up an older Detroit group called doughboyz cash out they got a song call mob life. It's the epitome of Detroit street life and the sounds of their music which came from influence from old school bay rappers like too short and E40 who are both bay area/NorCal rappers. You can look up an older 90s bay song from E40 called side ways to kind of try and understand that sound. You can also look up murder music which was made popular in the valley from older rappers like brotha Lynch hung who's from Sacramento CA songs like loc to the brain. Jaaybo and norcals sound in general has morphine from these two influence of mobb music and murder music
