Very hard to choose, but mine is "Bugün" ("Today"). Not as strong vocal gymnastics as those you've been playing; I just love the song and I related to it personally a lot when it came out.

Alright, when I said no strong vocal gymnastics, I was talking about the official video :). I just watched the live version from the same concert as above and heard the improvised screams 😂. The original version is much more mellow and "positive", if it makes sense.

I completely agree with you on her being much better live than recorded. I saw her live in Ankara at a "street concert" (not a professional concert venue but a make-shift, open air stage) 25 years ago, and she was AMAZING! That was before smart phones, so I could not get distracted by trying to take footage. I still remember the feeling of awe she left on my chest.

Let me explain you the story. Many of the songs from 2007 concert belongs to Can Kırıkları album which is released in July 2005. Before this album, Şebnem went alone to Los Angeles, stayed in a villa which is looking to Pasific Ocean and composed these songs including Hoşça Kal. For example the song "Ocean" from the same album is also composed in Los Angeles while looking Pasific Ocean. At that times Ahmet Ertegün a great Turkish-American producer and owner of Atlantic Records was dealing with Tarkan and wanted to present him to American music industry. (He also released an album "Come Closer" in April 2006 without success. At that times Ahmet Ertegün was also paying attention to Şebnem Ferah and she was thinking about leaving Turkey and everything behind and start a new career from the zero in America. So Hoşça Kal is also kind of farewell song of Şebnem to Turkish fans. But after some considerations, she tought that her english pronounciation is not as native as Americans and she should start from bars from the zero (as she did in Turkey) She was just 33 years old and she could have done it but she had everything in Turkey. A good luxry villa, good car, good friends, die hard fans. So at the end I think she couldnt leave her comfort zone and missed the chance to be a global rock queen. She preferred to be Rock Queen of Turkey.

I am very happy to see that after 16 years of this legendary concert and with the help of KZbin reaction videos, she is starting to be a global Rock queen. Hope that American music industry also realizes her invites her to America for big stadium concerts. You should also feel the atmosphere live.

Let me also tell the story of this legendary 2007 concert. (Of course I was also there and withnessed that concert) She started her solo career in around 1995-96 but her band including Metin, Buket, Ozan and Aykan cam together in 1997. So together in 10 years they had 5 studio albums and many many succesfull concert and performance. So they wanted to crown this 10 years friendship with a legendary concert and live album. Therefore they prepared very specially. This concert was like a summary of their 10 years glorious friendship as a band. But unfortunately, after this concert in the last 16 years she only released 3 studio albums (2009,2013,2018) After pandemic, Şebnem became very self conscious and never gave any concert. Metin left the group. etc. We are really missing her on the stage. Normally Şebnem is short with 155 cm height. But when she come to stage she is starting to become a giant. It is something unbeliveable to withness that.

Hello! What an amazing video I found! Şebnem Ferah wrote this song for her father. Her father is still alive but this song about her freedom from him. The father of her was a solder. Very strict. He didn't want Şebnem to be a musician and to be free. She choose her path "like a mare" , didn't apologize, said goodbye. She says : "I came to the world, like a mare" (I'm a mare, you want me to stay here but you can't.) This is Şebnem Ferah🧿That's why we love her.

i think the same way with you about meaning of the song. i listened this masterpiece so many times i can imitate every note of the music and solo parts even i dont play any instrument. Listened her live twice and looking forward to go to a concert again but she is not performing since covid. When im watching and listening her live im simply amazed how she dominates all of the platform and connect with audience. Sometimes i just stop singing and watching her like enchanted by her.

This song is actually the Movie soundtrack title song “Love loves Coincidences”. I definitely recommend watching it. The subject of the movie is Born on the same day, at the same hospital, studying at the same high school, and growing up on the same street, they meet by chance several times during their childhood and teenage years. Each intersection has a butterfly effect, resulting in drastic changes in their lives. They become their first love and their first heartbreak. But beyond that, each co-influence changes their life paths of life. Not only their lives but also their families. Sometimes they cause disaster, and other times miracles. However, they couldn’t be together. Whatever brings them together manages to also put an invisible wall between them. Fate separates them for 25 years, only to bring them back almost again through a bizarre event. Now, the two are mature. Deniz is a theater actress in Istanbul and Özgür is a famous photographer who launched a photo exhibition. Attending the event, Deniz recognized her face in a photograph from when she was a child. Curious to find out, who is the author of the collection, Deniz meets Özgür. At the time of their meeting, Deniz is already in a relationship, and Özgür suffers from lung disease (a kind of asthma). Feeling a strong connection, they decide to get to know each other better. The old memories make them smile, and a beautiful love story grows between them. Deniz liked Özgür as a child and now has the chance to continue the unfinished story. Everything was perfect until one rainy evening when Deniz performed the theater play for which she prepared intensively. That night will end with both protagonists in the hospital, Özgür needs a new heart, and Deniz is undergoing surgery in a serious condition. Now on Netflix 😊
