Speaking of, my very first website was Squarespace! It’s a lot different from Wix in terms of its editing capabilities but it also serves its purpose if you prefer it there.

Created my first ebook today with a total of 17 pages....so far. Cover section, Preface section, About the author section, Table of contents, topics by pages and end/note section page. Not done but editing and adding pics to it. Thanks

@@MonicaMolinar thank you for that feedback! I’m the same way. Music helps me to focus. I recently watched a video and the girls music was so low, I ended up listening for the music instead of listening to her 😂😅 I was afraid of that happening here. I’ll play around with the sound a bit more.

@@NatalehNicoleOh yes! If there’s music playing too softly, my ears try to find the music too! I know just what that’s like. 😉 I don’t know the magic setting, but here’s my idea as you make any adjustments that you might wish to: Perhaps you can find another creator who develops content with talky bits & tunes at a sound level that you like, who uses the same editing software that you do, reach out to them, and ask for input to help you find that “perfect balance” - of course, some of that will depend upon your own voice and the music selected. I don’t have the answer for you - I just saw your comment saying that you might leave the music off, and my reaction was “No! wait! Let’s figure it out - the music is part of why I could listen to the talk & get the info I need… “ in my head. It’s a challenge to get it all “just right”, I know - I’m just getting started myself, and that specific issue (getting a good balance of background sound, voice, whatever else is happening - sometimes I feel tired just from thinking about all of that. You might, too. Anyway - I’m enjoying and learning a lot from your content and am thinking of ebooks entirely differently, based on what you have shared. Thank you!

Hi! I no longer sell that ebook on its own. It’s a bit old now (6+ years old and I sell others that go in more depth) however if you go to my site and look at the eCommerce digital products, my first ebook (the boutique business guide) is offered in the Beginner bundle along with other relevant courses for eCommerce owners. What I have been told is fiction is very hard to break into. Readers tend to follow certain authors and buy all their books. New authors have to market the heck out of their books to get them into reader's hands. How many platforms did you put your book onto? Available as ebook, print on demand paperback and audio book? The more the merrier. I'm told non-fiction readers seldom care who the author is. If you wrote a book about tying knots the cover and description is what is going to sell. I have some tween fiction I'd like to do, have a novel I'd like to do "someday" and instead I'm working on a non-fiction book that I think will find an audience. So to redoing it, maybe so. Cover styles change and so does our taste and our "voice". Give it a thorough reread and think about if it could be better. Did you have an editor or someone go over it before you released it. Sometimes our thoughts just need a little tweaking. Best of luck with it.
