A few years ago I created 2 fiction books on KDP along with a coloring book. I paid for Amazon Ads , hired a ghostwriter from a quality company, and had professional covers made. I made less than 20.00 due to poor marketing. Marketing is so crucial. This time around I am going to work on building an email list first so that these books do not end up in the Amazon graveyard.

Thanks Sean! I also been watching and Launched my first medium content book on September 14. I've sold so far 82 copies at 51% ACOS since October, been making around 10$ a day in royalties. I tried my best running ads like you shown but forget to separate my book versions into separate campaigns so i can't tweak the metrics just for one of the versions, it will do the same for both. so if one sells better, it's tricky and i think its too late for new campaign for same book, id have to change the cover or something to get that new book boost again. also I dont have any reviews yet and didnt get chanve to give free books out for reviews before launch. Its hard not to tweek the metrics every day cause im impatient for results but i know you said only twice a week. We'll see where this goes

Hello Sean, I am sorry the question is not related to this video. Yet I thought you could share your opinion on this. I found out that the word "mediterranean" has been trademarked under class 16 (which is related to books and print on demand products) in UK trademark office. We all know that UK is the second largest market in kdp space. Since only the word mediterranean is trademarked, can we make a book named "Mediterranean Diet for Beginners" or "Mediterranean Recipes Cookbook"? "Mediterranean Diet" is a huge niche with high demand for very long time. How did those top selling books survived then? Aren't we allowed to use only the exact trademarked word (mediterranean)? Or can we use the other variants of that keyword? I have found several other keywords with the same issue. How these trademark laws work in kdp space? Thank you :)

Damn these are solid videos. Love how you don’t spend the first 10 minutes leading up to a 40 second “solution”. I’ve been a digital nomad for 3 years now selling digital products on Etsy, now transitioning to physical books. Do you find that the lack of “look inside the book” option with KDP hurts getting sales (plus is there a way around that?)? Also, KDP quality, specifically hardcover seems really mediocre for someone trying to create a cute booklet - thoughts on this? Thanks again for the valuable videos!

Quick question? I am looking to do coloring books but I see alot of people that use alcohol markers bleed through the papers? For a workaround would you do use a printing house and ship them yourself? Could you direct them to your own website to order or is that against KDP rules? As the children book I can use the KDP as I know that wont be using markers.
