My fear, People thinking that this is how every doctor in ethiopia lives. Altough his achivements are remarkable, he is an outlier and does not represent a doctor thought in Ethiopia. Watch with caution.

I know him and his family, if he choose to stay in the state, he would live better than he does right know. The lesson is to those doctors abroad, they can choose to come to Ethiopia and give back, they can make their family life somewhat similar to where they come from. But when they go out and help, they can creat an army for our county. It’s people like him who can reach our Dr at home to become officiate and creat a better culture for them. He teach, he practice and he is setting the standard higher. So try to stay positive and contribute your part.

I don't think medical professionals living abroad can afford this kind of luxury life by just working in Ethiopia. I really appreciate what he is doing for his country and I am happy for their success. However this can't represent the average living standard for doctors moving back to Ethiopia.
