Hello, i really enjoyed your extensive timeline journey. I also appreciate that you included “dates” as you described your progress. Adding the pictures and dates allows the viewer to really understand your progress.. Thank you for sharing. Today, May 31, 2022, is the last day of me wearing my hair loose-natural. On June 1, 2022, I will have microlocs installed, on my 3-inches, 3C, natured grey hair. I am 62 years old and my second set of locs. (Cut; 8 inches of Sisterlocs off in 2018, due to inflammation of my scalp) Dermatologist has been treating me for 48 months and cleared me for a new set. I am so excited. Because of the systematic way that you “took us on your journey” I will also keep a video log. I will probably not post it. But, at least I will have it personally, to look back on and update it monthly! 🙏🏽 good luck .. keep us posted on your success..

Thank you for watching. Yes, I like to look at the timeframe as well. Helps me see the progress 😊. I wish you all the best on your journey. You should definitely document your journey for yourself. Even if you don’t want to share. It feels nice to look back on the start. I hope your scalp continues to flourish 💐

This was good! The first one I ever commented on too! You showed me everything I wanted to see. I have a consult coming up and have watched a gazillion 🤥videos. Many were informative, but some of them, I knew the girls didn't know what they were talking about just creating content and definitely not according to the suggested SL processes. Thanks for sharing! I can't wait!

Your Sister Locs are so beautiful!… How long did it take you to do your self reties? Also, had your microloc lines been cleaner/straight do you think you would have stuck with micro locs?
@ebtheauthor3 жыл бұрын
Thank you. It takes FOREVER! LOL. About 15 hours. I think if I had as much knowledge of locs as I have learned this last year, I might have stuck with them. I definitely would have either interlocked my whole head from tip to root when I started, or started with 2 strand twist instead of braids. I definitely would have made the parts straight.

Girl keep posting videos, you’re my inspiration. How did you combine them, did you twist and interlocks at the root? I’m thinking about combining mine as well
@ebtheauthor3 жыл бұрын
Thank you. I waited until it was time for retightening and interlocked the roots together, then twisted the combined locs together. They were so new back then, most the combined ones are meshed together now.

@Liv M. Have you started your locs back? You have to tell me how to get rid of the frizz
@livm.29773 жыл бұрын
@@ebtheauthor Yes I have! If only I knew. 😞 As they mature some of the frizz will go away. Don’t use a towel to dry your hair after you wash it. The fibers make the frizz worse, use a t-shirt.

@@livm.2977 yaaayyyyyy!!!! 🎉🌹 cant wait to see you in person! Okay. Im going to be patient. I use a tee. She said I’m washing too much. But if I dont my scalp goes crazy. Im trying every 2 weeks instead of weekly. Hope that works. Also, I know its late BUT HAPPY ANNIVERSARY❤️🥰🥰!!!!

When you combined did you notice you had less volume?
@ebtheauthor3 жыл бұрын
Hi there! I actually did have less volume. It eventually came back. But one thing I wish I would have done is twisted the ones I wAnted to combine THEN interlock them later. So I could see. I interlocked the root and twisted the rest. In one of my videos (I will try to add it here), I mentioned i took some of the combined down. Had I twisted them 1st, I would have saved myself the time. Here is the video. kzbin.info/www/bejne/i5rMiWyIg8Z_hq8 about the 1:56 part I took some down.

I'm confused about the difference with microlocs and sisterlocs, can you break it down please? I currently have microlocs and I have to get a retighten every 5-6 weeks, desperately wanting to know the difference.
@ebtheauthor2 жыл бұрын
Hi there. The simplest answer is technique. They are ALL beautiful. “Sisterlocks” is simply a brand name. They have their own techniques on installing micro sized locs they teach. There are many videos you can find on yt where locticians give their opinion on the difference. Enjoy your journey!
