How to Bypass the Google Account Lock on the ZTE Blade ZMax (Z982) [STILL WORKS SEPTEMBER 2022]

CURRENT WARNINGS ▶ Well it seems like people can't get past the KZbin screen anymore because KZbin's requiring you to update the app. If you can get around this and still get to the browser somehow, great! Otherwise... it looks like you can't do anything about that :( _[UPDATE: you probably can! You can reset your phone and go through the process again, but as soon as you connect to Wi-Fi, get to KZbin as soon as you can before it updates, or for the best luck try purposely connecting to a slow Wi-Fi network (around 1mbps down maybe) like maybe a hotspot if it's throttled by the carrier]_ ▶ *The biggest problem people seem to be having is it asking for the previous owners information. Restarting the phone should fix it.* Here's some other solutions... Can't open file/no download button solution: Make sure both of the files are downloaded before you do this... Step 1: Search for Google Maps in Chrome and tap on the first link. It should open the app. Step 2: Tap menu, then tap on Start Driving and tap OK if a message shows talking about your location. Step 3: Tap the Voice Command button (the microphone) and say "Open File Manager" then it should open the file manager. Step 4: Tap the yellow/orange downloads button, tap download, then follow the video from the part where you got stuck (on the file manager) You should be good to go.

I just want to say that as of July 2022, I researched several videos and have been trying to break this phone that I bought from Goodwill 2 years ago. After coming to this video I thought that it would not work. It worked with a few hiccups but I mean you just think on what to try. To get around the update just scroll down and click on the join the community link and it takes you directly to google. Then from there you just follow along and everything goes great. Be sure to accept that you are the one accessing you google account. Everything works great and I will be saving you website for any future use if I end up with something google locked. i did all the steps to unlock it and i was getting the couldnt finish setup because it wanted me to enter in the google info of the account when it was reset.. ive been playing with it for hours and i ended up unlocking it. after downloading quick shortcut maker i used that to get to the launcher and from there i went in and went to the apps and went to google play services and deleted all the data. then i unchecked the device administrator for find my device(not sure if that even matters). Then I installed the google play services then the launch google settings. I did the copy google account from my second device then after that i reset the phone and continued setup as new device. went through with no problems and is now unlocked. hope this helps

Okay I am going to try this method. Though I am thinking about inserting SD card restarting the phone and going to factory data reset/reboot option and VOL key down to "apply from SD CARD". Fingers crossed hope it works I'll let y'all know.

For those who receive an KZbin update the only thing you need to do is take another phone and a micro sd card then download the latest version of KZbin apk at the moment then move it to the sd card when is done take off the sd card and put it in on the phone you’re trying to bypass then go to settings>storage, enter on the sd card and find the apk and install it, after that continue with the video. I hope was useful :)

Brian Valdez when you turn on talkback and make the “L” gesture Go on text to speech settings Then press volume up and down at the same time for a couple of seconds this turn off talkback, now slide from left to right, at this moment u gonna see a menu go to storage then you will see the sd in here

Just wanted to say thanks... I've had an old ZTE tracfone wasting away in a drawer, and all I wanted to use it for was run some music apps. HELP... I let my now X use my ZTE phone and he factory reset it. And then put his info in it. Well now I have my phone back and I can't do anything with it because every time I factory reset it again it's asking you for his info. I want my phone back in working order. Any ideas on how I can do this? I tried to follow your video but got lost.... the phone in question is a ZTE blade Z Max from Boost Mobile. It's not hooked up to a carrier I turned off the service I'm not going to turn the service back on unless I can get the phone to work. So I'm running it through my home Wi-Fi. I get all the way up to where it connects to the Wi-Fi and then it says checking info and it wants his information it said this device was synced put in the email and password previously synced to the phone. That's his information for so I don't know it and I'm not going to Ask him because I want the phone to being back in my information I don't even know how he got it to being his info in the first place. He's really smart when it comes to these kinds of things I'm not what you call a hundred percent tech savvy. So please help??!!🙏🙏🙏🙏

It seems it did everything except the last step and didn't copy from my other device. Now it says the account is already added, but says "not signed in" but won't bring up a Google sign in anymore. I restarted the device, changed nothing and it worked. Very weird. But salute man, your video was the only one or of 50 that worked. Plus no one has these old phones anymore, I decided to use this one to take pictures at job sites, but what a headache. Now androids are becoming more like iphones (headache wise).

OMG This worked 10.29.18/7.1.1. I have so many Blades that were collecting dust, now i can used them. For the people getting the message about "not having signed in with the owners email" just hold the power button and restart the phone, once it comes back on, just press copy data, and sign in again. On a "ZTE BLADE A521" I couldn't enable TalkBack but instead got access to Chrome by holding the home button until the Google app launched and then searched "KZbin Google", went in there and then to their About section and carried on with your video's instructions. Cheers!

I'm having issues trying to bypass the frp lock on my ZTE z986u. Ovr watched your KZbin video like a hundred times n I get all the way up to where I have to install the google play settings and then launch until it pops up saying there's a problem with Google drive, I can either close or report. I clicked close n figured I would at least try to finish the steps (even though I knew it wasn't gonna work) after I did the launch, I clicked the settings, show debug items, but when I scroll down for smartdevice target flow, I click on it n nothing will happen. Need some assistance. The system is yours was more up to date than mine or something. Anyway, I don't have the "pause feedback" or what ever it was actually in the TalkBack sub menu. So I've had to push through an deal with it till I got to your page. Because I'm still stuck in TalkBack mode, I can't access you drop menu on your homepage. Is there a direct link?

Nvm my guy, got it figured out. I was afraid I'd have to start all over if I clicked on TalkBack settings in the tb sub menu. We good haha. PS, she. You said this video felt you aged a lot.. You weren't joking. Between the Ol lady, the kids, technological issues, and other various distractions... This 9 minute video took me 3 hours to complete....lmfao

THANKS! This worked for me but I had 2 phone glitches: Talkback features came on at some point, but was silent. Had to hit back button once, then a double tap to go back. At end, my gmail accounts were added, but I was unable to get in phone repeatedly. I opted to open new Microsoft/Hotmail account (total pain having to single, then double tap everything) Bingo! That got me into normal phone & THEN showed my gmail accts too. After, I could pull dropdown menu with *2* fingers to turn off TALKBACK, thank god

I had no issues getting one phone unlocked. On a 2nd phone I keep getting asked to update KZbin when I click on the share option. I've factory reset multiple times but it gets stuck at the youtube video update every time. Any suggestions?

I honestly don't think we have any way around this anymore. KZbin's forcing people to update now when they didn't use to.

@@Eccentech well I tried some more yesterday with no luck. Tried today and the KZbin video loaded, was able to download the files and complete the process. Did everything the same, no idea how it went through.

Went through every step you did in the video. After my google account was put onto the phone. Did another factory reset and then tried to logon and the phone still said "to continue sign in with a google account that was previously synced on this device" is there anything else I can do??

Hi latrell I don't understand why I can't get it if everything worked out except I could not download easily but found another way and then I could not finish the last part which was to finalized by transfering to the other phone at the end! what can you suggest I spent all day yesterday trying to finalize know I don't know what to do? Help and feedback doesn't open anything for me. I was able to get to the privacy settings through the legal menu though where there's a video. It doesn't open the KZbin app but has an embedded version of it. When I try to go to Google's website it's also an embedded version instead of Chrome. Go to another channel like Today Show and then there's a link to the Google Play Store to install Snapchat; use that. Keyboard won't load but if you click open in play store it loads a 404 webpage where you can long press, tap assist, and it will open a Google search page with a keyboard.

I just thought of something that may solve everyones problem with the final moments resulting in failure. So, at the screen where it shows that your account has been successfully added to the device, Try pulling the power from the router that both phones are connected to. This may allow you to bypass the connection to Googles account services to verify, simply because the device previously believed that the correct account was added. Worth a shot at this point.
