be careful using this tool
a bit dangerous

Why go to all that trouble, when you could just offset the centre of the piece in a four-jaw chuck?

Or just put 1.5 times the offset under one of the three jaws.

It would be more useful Had you put guides along side the V support for ease of centering, and a screw adjustment to that same piece for fine adjustments. Which is not possible with what you have, But the idea is good.
