It is, and it's one bus ride (a long bus ride) from Sheffield! Easy for me! But yes as Jenny says, Peak Rail (Matlock) a great visit as well! 😁👍

They some times have contracts to test mainline equipment on this railway. Of course the 25 mph is the limit but a number of tests can still be undertaken. There are also events which take visitors up to the quarry which was the main reason for the line. Good varied collection of steam and diesel loco power and railcars with some visitor locos for events.
