I never realized how toxic the “be happy” or “you only live once” lifestyle was until I came to know the Lord.. such a trap. I spent many years living that way and it all leads to heartbreak and depression. I’m loving Ecclesiastes ❤️

Im at a very trying and hard time in life full of depression and confusion because of an illness i have but also things i have seen and think. I was led to this book i dont know why. You would think that this book which has been called the most depressing book in the bible would not be ideal for me right now. However its actually given me reassurance that life is found in God alone and not in this life but the one to come and building your life on anything other than God is truly depressing. Thank you for the encouraging words at the end.

When I was younger I made a good amount of money and was very popular mainly with family as I got older I started making changes and now I make less money and do more than I did in the past simply because I’m not as popular as I used to be my life is much more peaceful I thank God for removing many people from my life including family at first I was feeling hurt and abandoned but knowing now it was all God’s plan for me I am grateful for it ALL!!! THANK YOU HEAVENLY FATHER FOR EVERYTHING 🙏🏾♥️🙏🏾♥️🙏🏾

If a person only thinks about and taking care of the desires of the flesh all day, for example eating, drinking, having fun,, then he is not different from a pig. Because his spirit is dead and his spirit eyes are closed. Money, food is only for flesh, not for spirit. If a person is alive only in terms of flesh, he is dead in God's sight. A person without a spirit will not be happy no matter how wealthy he is or how powerful he is on earth. God's Word is food for spirit. This world is not my home, I am just a traveler temporarily staying on earth. I don't care what I eat or drink while I am travelling, I don't bother with buying a house while I am travelling. I choose to live a simple life while I am travelling because I only pay attention to my destination -- Heaven.

I agree, I know some of my friends who say how “happy” or “living there truth” or “yolo” and how much they push that, but in the same picture that they post, you see how sad and unhappy they are...all this is hitting the nail on the head! We see so much vanity on FB, Instagram, Pinterest, And yep KZbin. 🤯 it all ties together. Thank you ❤️❤️.

May I just say that the timing of this message was very uncanny-for me, at least. I was just talking with my son no more than thirty minutes ago concerning our storage unit. We're going to close our account and donate most of its contents, considering we don't even know half of what's in there. I don't even want to think how much money we could have saved if we had just been more responsible with our belongings to begin with. I love your conclusion at the end. Amen. I would rather be living my life under the Son.

If blessed means happy then why can’t we be happy. Unless it’s not interchangeable but then we’ll need to be blessed by God. I get there is a difference. And I would rather be happy with the things of the light than sin to be happy

Gloria 78 Can you elaborate?
@Gloriagal784 жыл бұрын
LbFaith Figueroa Lol, I just realized that I forgot to put PSALM 144, verse 15. From what this psalm implies, those who trust in the salvation, provision, protection and deliverance of the Lord will indeed be happy. Again, sorry for the confusion. I went ahead and added the full scriptural reference to my original comment.

our Lord brings us joy! Amen thank you Jesus

Our principal pursuit should not be for happiness and comfortable circumstances but there is nothing wrong with being happy. If you had children you'd want them to be happy but your primary role is to protect them and raise them rightly, God's primary concern is with our sanctification and salvation. As a result of these things and knowing that the Lord loves us personally how could we not be happy and filled with joy? But the pursuit of worldly happiness leads to destruction. Galatians 6:7-9 might help you

)it is amazing that at such a time as this, I should get acquainted with Utube and Pastor Paul and Mrs G. I am not comfortable with this technology. However, after 88 years I have finally found people who are excellent teachers and I am learning in depth things that have escaped me all these years. Praise the Lord for He is good!

its funny because the neighbor with the gun and reason to shoot is the one that is usually directed by God. So who is the bad neighbor? Just be happy with what you do and stop trying to change the world. Be one with nothing.

I adore Pastor Paul’s teaching however I completely disagree with the pet part. I have no doubt that our pets will be in heaven. I believe all the baby lambs that were sacrificed will be in heaven too. God gave us pets to show his perfect love. I love love love Pastor Paul so much. His teachings have blessed me so much.
