I used a corner pocket in high school on an edge aero. Loved that thing! Strung it myself and never let me down. Used leathers to hold the mesh, 2 normal shooters and a V shooter. Kinda crowded, but very accurate for me. 39g and 22a. Only year I used it cuz I went back to goalie my senior year

I play goalie but I sometimes play some middie and switch with my teams LSM because I don't have much stamina. I had a piece of 12D ecd goalie mesh that ripped so I cut a 2D strip and made a shallow corner pocket that releases very very fast so it is good for the snipe feed onto the crease man. I've had the same piece of ECD 12d mesh for over two years and strung up tons of sticks with it. STX eclipse when it was new, cut to 10d when it ripped once, then cut to 6d and put on a cobra, then cut to 4d and put on same cobra, then cut it about a month ago and have it on a evo. Thanks for the amazing mesh yall make. 2 pieces of mesh I got the day you came out with 12d and still using it!

I did one of these for my son on his backup stick. There is a lot more ball movement when cradling. The thing I don't like is that I couldn't keep the lateral tension across the top as tight as I would like. Leads to the ball clicking off of the head upon release. And I couldn't get the leathers to work either as the narrow mesh wouldn't lay flat rather it would have a wave pattern following where the leathers went in and out. I used two passes of sidewall on each side with one barreled capturing the edge of the mesh. One tip versus how Greg cut his mesh, use a razor blade and slice right up the middle between the two diamonds. The old piece of hard mesh I had split very nicely using this method. Also, avoid any soft mesh for this, the cross lace has no stiffness, with soft as opposed to hard mesh the shifting of the pocket would be rather extreme. Of the various heads I've dyed and strung up for my son and his teammates, nothing garners half of the attention as his plain white head, white mesh, yellow string corner pocket. Players are always looking at it and asking to throw with it.

Been using a corner pocket for a few months now, I love it but for me it did take a while to adjust it to just the way I like. I used braids instead of leathers, which gave it more of a stiffer feel where I wanted it. I used two straight shooter laces behind one tightly bound thicker string. The release is pretty nice and consistent but what I really love about it is how it feels when catching. It has just the right amount of sway and give that it will allow you to make tougher catches with less effort. Been thinking about cutting down 6 diamond mesh to make one for my d-pole

Have you ever seen a "West Genny pocket"? Back when they (we) were winning NYS titles regularly there was one pocket that everyone used because it was very, very consistent and has a quick release. It was maybe a 4 on the lip scale which was where concessions were made because Messere's theory was that you don't need to blow the ball by the goalie, you need to be deceptive. Plus- If you need to shoot the ball hard, that means you're far out, and if you're at distance, you shouldn't be shooting. To this day it is the best pocket I have ever used and many of the guys at UAlbany asked me to string it for them. Love the channel - you do awesome work

I had a variation of a corner pocket and we called it flappy because we didn't cut off the sides of the mesh, we left it there for looks, hence the name flappy. It lasted two years until the mesh was breaking down of wear. I might strung one up just for giggles lol

seriously i think the best setup is a mid pocket with 2 or 3 straight shooters. keep it classy. plus it teaches you to learn about channels and drag and become a better stringer, instead of relying on a tight U for hold and whip

yeah the top string goes through different holes, you have it through the second whole, then the two middle holes n then you went through the 6th instead of the 5th top string hole which wouldve made it symmetrical. but no man's perfect!
