Ece dogbone mount install on Audi Rs3 8v & Ttrs 8s

Subframe bolt torque 70nm +180degree Bolts from dogbone to trans 50nm Exhaust hanger 20nm 2 Bolts on black metal brackets 45nm

For the factory puck removal it looks like you cut it to the edge of the plastic then pried it out right? How did you remove the top one?

Was it just 4 bolts total that need to be replaced? I saw the two part numbers not sure on how many each it is.

What about spacers ?? I got version 2 with spacers and can’t understand where and how to install them

Spacers go under the swaybar mounts in the front

Great video. How long it took to install? Also, is there any way to save the OEM mount and not have to cut it?

Took us less than an hour. If you want to save the oem pucks you will need to drop the subframe and use a press.

@@reesechris76 Chris, thank you so much for the answer, that explains everything. I had my doubts as to if I wanted to go with a full ECE or like 034 dogmount pucks. One last question, is it really necessary to take the car to the dealer to "realign" the subframe? or can I just mark the sports with a marker or a scribe and just bolt it right back on?

Did the NVH decrease after a few hundred+ miles of break-in? I am interested in the ECE dogbone but don't want to reduce the sophistication and refinement of the car too much.

It did decrease. For me hands down best mod i did to the rs3 besides a tune.

@@reesechris76 Thanks for the feedback. If oem stock has a NVH of 2 per se and 10 is unbearable. Where would you place the NVH on a scale to 10 after it broke in?

The ECE dog bone Mount is the most garbage replacement, just wait three years when it finally melts out of the housing

You are very wrong. Ece dogbones were one of the beginning ones used on audi rs3 8v platform. I used mine for 4 years and when i removed it had minimal wear. Ive since sold it and additional pucs i had to other ece owners without issue. There was a batch of poly inserts that had cure issues that melted yes but that was within the last year before they stopped selling the product. I swapped to a unitronic red dogbone as i needed harder mounts but didnt want to have broken teeth from say a ece red insert as the red insert was very aggressive
