Best echelon review I’ve seen. To the dang point thank the lord! Only malfunction I’ve had was using garbage ammo. added a Tyrant ITTS trigger, stainless guide rod, threaded barrel and a Floyd’s custom magwell/magbase. Now feels and shoots better than anything I’ve ever fired. An echelon works great straight out the box, put a few hundo into it and it’s a sexy gal.

So cool. Seems very similar to my beretta apx the way it breaks down, and I was actually told the same thing as you when I bought it. Now i got the new a1, and the a1 compact tactical and they became my ride or dies as well. Plus got a 100 round rebate for that 3rd one and, well, that aint bad!

Great video and overview. I didn't look at Springfield as close as this vid shows me, but I did consider a couple. Couple of them (also from sportsman's, love that store!) caught my eye and felt good in hand. Your build is about identical to mine, minus the light. Also quite enjoy Holosun, quality is great and far more affordable (not cheap by any means). Ultimately the SIG 365X-Macro won, but this gun looks practically identical in the ways that matter for me. The interchangeable back straps is now a mandatory feature for me. Brother, I’ve said it for years. If a SEAL or Delta guy can pick up any weapon and make it work then it’s always the shooter. Practice matters in EVERYTHING. The gun is just the tool. God Bless.

Little tip for weapon lights, put a thin coat of lip balm on it. everything wipes right off clean and the brightness isnt effected

Have an echelon with about 4k through it. Eats any ammo you feed it no probs, 10/10 imo. Delta point pro fitted perfectly on the optic ready slide with zero issue's! Have a staccato xc also but enjoy the echelon.

@thataintbad worth every moment it's a dream pistol but the echelon is a great gun and I really enjoy the left hand thumb rest and texture, aka take Done lever, maybe you should show a shot looking from the back of the pistol so people can see as no one really knows, its done extremely well. I have a holster for a sig and just used a heat gun to allow it to hold the echelon as that little flare down the left side just needed a little room to fit!

Nice breakdown. I had the opportunity to shoot the comp'd from the factory version last weekend and had been wanting to shoot them since coming across your channel and you saying what it was after I asked if it was a Glock. The slight ledge in front of the takedown lever is actually incredibly helpful, more than I thought it would be. I'm not personally a fan of the gas pedals but the abbreviated one built into the frame is perfect. Was able to double tap a dime sized bullseye with both going through the same hole after a mag with it. Wouldn't have believed it, I was looking for the second hole and my buddy on the next lane told me to bring the target up and showed me the slightly larger than single hole. Did it again a few tries later. Best I can generally do with my XMacro is within an inch of each other. XMacro is smaller and lighter so not exactly apples to apples but the Echelon comp'd is a helluva shooter. Needless to say that Echelon comp got bought by my shooting buddy, who was also able to double tap the same hole once, as well.

@@thataintbad I honestly thought it was a fluke the first time but then I did it again with God and buddy as witness, then he did it. We both concluded it's the pistol. We're decent, but not that good. We were shooting someone else's ammo so we didn't continue, decided to hand it back to the owner before we went through his whole box of 250 he'd handed us to put it through its paces and make sure the optic was secured (something about short screws). I'm kinda married to my sigs at this point, but very impressed with the Echelon and now someone I know has one that I can shoot when I see him. So was a helluva good Christmas visit to my folks'. Love to see the growth of the channel since last time I commented, you deserve all the success. Merry belated Christmas

I use the green eps carry on mine. It’s flush on the sides and enclosed. I like the 507 window I just feel better with enclosed optics on my carry gun. I got the extra threaded barrel and a cheap comp just to play with. Thinking I might get a can one day.. But I don’t carry it that way. Just play at the range once or twice. I did opt for the aggressive gestured frame and got the metal guide rod . I just don’t like plastic on metal if I have a metal to metal option. Kept the Oem springs, just swapped the rod to a metal one. The mag hack. If you use the extension off the xdm elite 22 rd mags, you gain one extra round and the floor plate fits much better than the echelon extension floor plate. Also the taran tactical xdm metal extension also works the same and gives you a little extra weight to drop mags faster if you compete. This gun is a shooter. I hit a broomstick at 20 yards with it while chronoing some handloads. That’s amazing for me. It’s my edc and I don’t see anything replacing it anytime soon. Springfield did this one right

Awesome review. I shot a few 9mm and hamds down this pistol is the flatest shoot for what it cost. I did do an upgraded trigger which is ok, but right out of the box this is an awesome gun. Self-defense or just something to take to the range, you really cant beat it. Great quality pistol at a great price point.Can be "heavy" or "baulky" as a few of my budys that carry p365, and S&w bodyguards have stated but its also a full size pistol. I have around 1500 rounds threw it and never had an issue that was the guns fault! Would recommend if you in the market for a full size pistol.

love mine too its a solid gun should look into floyds custom flared magwell. have to buy the base plates for your mags unless they are the 20 round ones but love that addition. Awsome vid by the way and crazy you have that many rounds through it makes me feel like ill get my moneys worth.

Ngl, I haven't bought a new gun in about 9 years. And back in August, your shorts started popping up. Then I started itching to get back into shooting again. Asked you what gun and what sight you were shooting and now I'm an owner of an Echelon comp with 507Comp. Had to pay Cali prices but love this gun and optic.
