I agree with you, and I have a feeling that's a big part of why she hates emilia actually. Either it gets in the way of one of her other grand plans, or like, in the event that the emilia is actually related to satella (who echidna definitely doesnt like) proves true, it could be a sort of inherited hate from that.

From what it’s hinted at puck appears to be emilias family or a family member and was made into a spirit to protect her or watch over her. As soon as something happens to her he gets his memories back. At the moment I believe after leaving Emilia he has his memory could be wrong on that tho.

Yeah I’ve seen some posts and ideas about that, it’s an interesting thought. I really hope they will explore the past some more (which I’m sure they will) and also why would echidna be the one to turn him into a spirit that’s a good question too. That is if I’m even right that echidna was the one who did it.

Echidna actually likes Subaru and the whole 2nd half of season 2 was her plan to make emilia pass the trial and make Subaru Reject her Web Novel Arc 4 Chapter 79 ... pls read the entire chapter especially the last 2 pages These following lines are straight taken from the web novel arc 4 ch 79 : End Of Dream Minerva: “Do you think he'll do okay? I am soo worried.” Echidna: “What would unmistakably go okay was my hand which he rejected. Regardless, he'll be struggling frantically for everything to go well. Doesn't seem he can get the answer yet, though.” Minerva: “What is that, that phrasing. You guided him so that he'd reject you, and then you're trying to hide your feelings from us, when we know what you're really thinking? That's just pointless.” Echidna: “It wasn't really that I was trying to be rejected. -Since whether he declined or accepted, I would've been glad with either.” Echidna seats herself at the regenerated table, clicking her fingers to produce a teacup, ferrying the steaming thing to her mouth. Echidna: “I affirm choices, and the outcomes of those choices. I don't much think the particulars of how that choice came about as a problem. It is very underrated information. It clearly implies that Echidna lured Subaru into rejecting her. She would value both outcomes but it was this that she preferred. She was the one to make Subaru realize his importance through both trials that led to his greed of valuing his life too thus rejecting her. Given her intelligence, she was not fool enough to not foresee the change in Subaru demeanour through these trials. But there are also contradictions. Why did she faked her emotions to impress Subaru? (Did she actually had fondness toward Subaru). Her speech is standalone proof that she wanted to form pact with Subaru. But the main question is why it is not included in anime, even it is also removed in Light Novel. Since it raises controversies so maybe the writer decided to go with the Echidna that preferred ReturnByDeath to satisfy her greed. However, this chapter of Web Novel needs attention among Re:zero community.

I don't think that's what this segment from the web novel means at all. I think this chapter from the web novel simply shows Echidna trying to come up with excuses as to why Subaru rejecting the contract wasn't such a bad thing. In the end, she was obviously quite upset that Subaru rejected the contract, and she would've wanted him to make the contract with her. Even looking at her private thoughts, Echidna does in fact actually hate Emilia and would've much preferred Subaru to take the trials in her place.

My theory is Al=Hoshin and Flugel=Subaru. I want to believe Subaru is Flugel so in that regard, in my theory Al is reincarnation of Hoshin just like Subaru is Flugel’s. Since Hoshin lived in the witches era, He probably met with the witches and the Sage. It also explains the connection between him and Satella. Even Hoshin is not a star name maybe he wanted to be or follow a star(Flugel/Subaru) and thus Aldebaran(the star following the pleiades star cluster) was born. Also Anastasia Hoshin has a hair clip with a star motif.

I don't know anything about Re:ZERO past the anime and I know this comment is year old, but "Hoshi" means "star" in Japanese, so maybe that's also the connection?
