She was initially designed as a Support Class, but the big thing that defines Echo in lore is her "Duplicate" power to become other heroes. That serves too much of a combat roll, so she had to be tweaked.

Etienne Pinçon I’d argue that both have a similar strength. Notice how Sigma’s Trailer has him constantly in the center of every shot, as we look directly in front of him. In this case, we rotate around Liao’s still image, before we see Echo beyond her Image. Both Trailers have us Focused solely on the person in the center as we see them morph into something else. Absolutely stellar.
