Just a few notes! Firstly, yes there are characters not included in this video such as Symmetra, Lucio, Junkrat & Sigma. I wanted to keep this video very digestable and concise so I left them out as they are not very key to Overwatch's story right now! But they all look like they could be in the future! I had the same thought. An organization comes onto the scene and is widely beloved for the good work that they do. But the acts of a few bad people show that the sterling reputation is not as flawless as some may think. The world turns against them but they have to pull through it to do good once again and be heroes they intended to be in the first place.

This is just a guess, but given their antagonistic relationship with the Junker Queen, I'm guessing Junker Queen leads Junker Town into some kind of alliance with Talon and Overwatch recruit Junkrat (and maybe Roadhog, too?) to be their inside men/guides through Junker Town. Originally, I thought Junker Queen was gonna be the one to side with Overwatch, but it's seeming lie the opposite.

Amazing video!! One small correction. Cassidy didn't save the cargo from Ashe. He tipped off Ashe to attack the train carrying Echo so that he could reactivate Echo. That is why he was waiting in the cafe alone, he had scared off the rest of the people so that there wouldn't be any collateral damage to bystanders. But great job!!!

@@Goztek Unpopular opinion but I don't think League of Legends' lore is anywhere as good as Overwatch's. The only thing about League lore that's good is the comics (Such as Zed, Shen and Jhin), The Backstories (Zed and Shen, Annie, etc.), and finally the Arcane series. Yes, they are amazing, however the whole lore of league of legends is not in sync at all with each other. Simply put they've not done any setup, just "we have a world, on one side we have bard, on the other we have ryze collecting runes, demacia vs chainboi, etc." YES, their lore is AMAZING, however it's not a good in-sync story. Their focus is not mainly on lore which is why this happens.

there's one thing that is bugging me here, you say MEKA and the attack on Korea from Ghwishin was 20 years before Recall and how Dva was apart of it but then at 22:58 you say Dva help fend them off once more But Dva is 19 after "Recall" make it absolutely impossible for her to be there at the first attack from Ghwishin

Tha dates, time and ages are all messed up in the OW lore and all its forms of media, comics, the games, the video shorts etc... The best we can get is tying up the pieces the best you can, just like this video does, and ignore dates and characters aging not matching up.

It is possible they won not by defeating the colossus but by dwindling the forces until it was weak. Leading to MEKA development, it would take time to build those suits, train pilots who end up dying faster than training could respond so they looked at youth which has high hand and eye coordination, and quicker mental response times than battle dulled soldiers. They held a competition and rewarded the best gamers in a tournament to become MEKA pilots which her fellow gamers made it to the top. This would happen I believe at 16 they expanded on somewhere I read once before. This means at Recall she has only been fighting for around 3 years. It is possible that MEKA was actually developed by the Omnics that was bought by the company Sombra exposes to gain a powerful ally. Giving her statement in game- "I saw your stream last night, you are not bad at those games" "I will beat you even with your hacks!" "Aw, I will be sad when we take you down"

I think u forgot to mention the fact that the us had their own way to deal with omnic war. They had the soldier enhancement program which basically pump soldiers with the super soldier serum. Soldier 76 and reaper were part of that program. That's where they got their code, soldier 76 and soldier 24. That's probably how reaper survived moira's experiment and soldier survived the explosion.

Overwatch had the potential to be the full media market bonanza that is something straight out of the '80s. Video games (more than one kind), comics, TV cartoon series, eventually a movie. The merchandising could have been everywhere with toys, coloring books, plushies and game boards. This could have been the next TMNT, or Transformers. Instead, greed decides to put all the eggs in one basket and continue to do the same thing over and over until it feels old, and dies. Hoping to see SOME kind of turnaround, with a profound PVE that will make up for it having to be a battle pass now.

disclaimer for the reaper. In the retribution event Moira gave Gabriel serume, that made him like Reaper later. SuperSoldider serum inside of him created something unimageanble. That was the beggining of his dark path. Great video though i think it summs up all important information from the lore.

Wait wait wait. In the beginning you say the omnic crisis begins in response to Aurora reaching sentience is completely wrong. Anubis which was a god AI program went rogue and took over all the omnic using them to start the omnic crisis. Aurora used her sentience and passed it into every omnic delivering it to them allowing the omnic to choose whether to continue fighting or to choose peace and live with humans. That gave Overwatch a chance to fight back and end the Omnic crisis. I do appreciate a lot of what you've done here but that was completely backwards information.

Theory, Soldier76 detonated the Overwatch base to prevent Reaper from obtaining Overwatch's list of active agents, shutting down the beacon that Winston reactivates. Reaper learns of the alternative location to find the database and attacks Winston and A.T.H.E.N.A. Do to both Soldiers receiving a Super Soldier serum they survive, Reaper was near death but Moira saves him, giving that her experiment counters his Super Soldier serum which repairs his body as well as destroying his body is used on herself to obtain limited success. Soldier76 has scars from the detonation but survived. He knows if he survived there is a chance Reaper did as well and continues to fight Talon because he knows it will be a matter of time until he faces him again

This video is fantastic and it really puts into perspective how underdeveloped certain areas are such as Symmetra, Junkrat, Roadhog, and Lucio. It wouldn't surprise me if characters like Junkrat are not playable in the story mode because of how the main story has been developed around these heroes and makes it hard to justify their actions being related to Overwatch's activities.

When you were talking about the Deadlock Gang, you called Cassidy, Cassidy; although at that point his name was still McCree in lore. I fully agree with the name change, but even in lore it was still McCree. It only changed in the New Blood comic after he and Ana had been tracked down. From that point on his name was Cole Cassidy.

Small nitpick I don't know if anyone has brought up, but the Echo segment, it was actually Cassidy who gave the tip to the Deadlock Gang about the train. He wanted to get Echo because of the recall and because he knew Overwatch would need her, but he didn't have a way to get her himself. So he decided to make an anonymous tip to the Deadlock Gang for her to stop the train and for him to get her.
