It is very relaxing to watch you build your models. One day I might clear my workspace so I can get back to this sort of thing 🧡

I enjoy watching your vids. Started with the flying/trim videos and continued with your building. I, too, start with a clean table top, tape down the plans, apply onion skin then arrange my tools and parts in order of need. I use a square to maintain perpendicular fuselage, one that stands on its own leaving my hands free to assemble parts. Actually enjoyed the background music…birds! Thanks for posting

Beauty! The covering material is great. Part of that beauty lies in the visibility of the framework. When do we see it flying?

I've been watching your youtube I built some models as a kid I'm starting to build again even tho I'm 80 now where dose the time go I've been around air craft my hole career I worked at NASA at Edwards AFB my question is can I use the tissue paper like my wife has I mic them they are both .0015 thick I'm building the Guillow's Lancer your youtube really helped mine isn't as good as yours but I'm learning thanks

Allen, yeah I use domestic tissue on a lot of builds. It's not as strong as Esaki but it does work. Sounds like you've had quite a career!

Hey Joshua, pretty much all the videos I've watched relating to a trim session talk about doing numerous things like adding ballast or adding downthrust or giving right rudder etc etc but none of them ever show it actually being done. Typically it is mentioned then the flyer comes back to say there we've added some right rudder but for people like me could you ever do a trimming for idiots video and actually show us how to do all these things?

I used to do it with balsa shims between the fuselage and nose-block. Matchsticks cut to size, also, sometimes. One has to adapt when one is outside, trying to fly one’s latest folly, and there is no guarantee that the adjustments that seem to work today will work equally well tomorrow. The pull of a tightly wound rubber motor is considerable, so one should expect some distortion in the structure, even if one cannot see it

Hey Josh, I love your videos. I want to watch you build and listen to the narration, but every time I have to stop because of the bird noise in the background. Something to consider, maybe it would make sense to do a v.o. or maybe play around with a directional mic, acoustic panels, etc. to cut down on the shrill (albeit cute) chirps.

We tried several directional microphones and they were a disaster. Unfortunately this is what I'm stuck with for now :(

I've been building for fifty five years but building rc models dulls your skills I think rubber is such a more precise discipline ..
