Legendary Liverpool band Echo & the Bunnymen to release their 12th studio album and first since 2009, Meteorites. Produced by Youth (Killing Joke, The Verve), the album contains ten hand-picked new songs written by founder Ian McCulloch and performed by Bunnymen stalwarts Mc Culloch and Will Sergeant along with Gordy Goudie (guitar) and Stephen Brannan (bass).
Formed in 1978, the Bunnymen have been a vital force in the indie rock world for over 36 years having won over millions of obsessive music fans worldwide and indelibly influenced countless bands with their signature sound from the Flaming Lips to Coldplay to Pavement. Meteorites is a key addition to their repertoire. It s an intimate song cycle written by Ian McCulloch performed by the band with a renewed sense of purpose showcasing all of their unmistakable musical hallmarks while taking them to a new level.

@ nick932200: I feel kind of sorry for people who still go on about their ”first four”. Yes, they were classics no doubt, but so are a lot of the songs from The Bunnymen (even if it’s just Mac and Will) 1997-2014 (WHEN are they going to put out that album that was supposed to be out 2019?????). Have you really listened to their later work? How can you not like/love Rust, Empire State Halo, King of Kings, All because of you days, In the Margins, Life of a thousand crimes, to pick just a few. And mind you, I’m one of those who’ve loved them since HUH.

It's a Marvel & Delight !! I'm not a massive Coldplay fan but Chris Martin favourite band is Echo&theBunnymen...it is surely for a reason... Echo are one of my favourite band...it is strange but i'm more into their recent albums (since 1999 "What are you going to do with your life") than their more "classic" years... A great return and i hope their new LP will be as good as Siberia :-))
