I feel so blessed to have been born 23/2/63 - true 80's teen/twenty-something... turning 17 in '80 just old enough to be on the British pub/club scene from start to finish of an epic era in music history! So many amazing bands - OMD, Echo & BM, Big Country, New Order, Smiths, Dep Mode etc. Incredible memories of my youth because of the marvellous glut of music laid on for us in the '80s. ❤‍🔥❤‍🔥❤‍🔥

@@antoniobruno5194 That's right antonio, where I'm from in the UK there was lots of pubs all packed out especially from friday to sunday, drinking, smoking and the music just like you said. A great time. The pubs would shut at 3 o'clock in the afternoon until 6 o'clock when it opened again, me and my mates would be standing outside our first pub at 5 to 6 waiting for it to open to get our first few beers down, put some music on the jukebox, play some pool, and you could smoke aswell, then off to the next pub. Now 2 thirds of those pubs have gone now. I feel sorry for the younger generation, especially at the weekend, they only have a small amount of pubs and it's just not the same atmosphere. I loved the '80s, bring it back lol. 👍🍺🍻🚬🎵🎶

it takes me back to the summer of 1984, a beautiful all-Italian summer for me, DD and Spandau, George Michael were going crazy on the radio, but in the evening I listened to a national channel that programmed New Wave/Alternative music before going out and partying with friends. From my compact Technics stereo I recorded the pieces I liked most and the Bunnymen were among the most programmed with their wonderful and melancholy "Ocean Rain".

Liverpool 7, Manchester United 0. Today! I love the music from both those cities and I have never been to either one of them. Why do I care? I have my reasons and they are very individualistic. A big shout out to anyone in North America who played as a kid, called it soccer, and loved it for life without ever thinking about it as a career.

this band were one of my guilty secrets back in the day..........I had been a northern souler going to venues across the country and this band - along with Everything But The Girl - blew me away. Such talent and their music helped shape the person I became post-Wigan Casino. The early EBTG were brilliant and still one of my favourite albums ever is Eden.
